The power of God’s presence gives strength and protects them. God presence empowers and defends us from evil although we may go through adversity sometimes. God’s presence is a hedge that gives victory against the enemy. We have no strength by our own efforts but in God’s presence we are protected by God’s wall of consuming fire. The Holy Spirit dwells in us through Christ to fight back against darkness. The presence of the LORD keeps us engaged to keep us dependent on the word of God through the Cross and protection of Jesus’ blood. God’s presence helps to overcome sin to live in union with Christ.
