HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL MOTHERS IN THE GLOBAL UNIVERSE
In the Bible, In Exodus 20:12, Ephesians 6:2, God said honour and respect mothers so it will be well with you and you will live long. Mother’s Day was first celebrated in 1908, by Anna Jarvis for her mother in Grafton West Virginia. She campaigned to make Mother’s Day recognized holiday in the United States in 1905 when her beloved mother, Ann Reeves Jarvis, died. Anna honoured her mother by continuing her mission to honour all mothers. Anna wants mothers to be celebrated because no matter the circumstances, mother is the person who has done more for you than anyone in the world. Mother carried you, gave birth to you and nurtured you. Anna’s mother, Ann Jarvis, was a peace activist who had cared for wounded soldiers during the civil war. Mother’s Day Work Clubs helped to address public health issues. Many states officially recognized Mother’s Day eventually from 1910 in West Virginia. In 1914 Woodrow Wilson signed the proclamation creating Mother’s Day as a national holiday to honour mothers. Even if mother passed, talk about her with photos shown to the family to commemorate her. Remember, to train children to love, respect and honour mother always.
