OXFORD CHRISTIAN CAMPS

Oxford_skyline_0The students at the University of Oxford voted to ban a Christian group from one of their colleges because it will threaten their “physical and mental safety.” The JCR at Lady Margaret Hall have voted overwhelmingly in favour of banning Christian Concern group from hosting a residential summer camp on the Oxford premises because their values do not align with those of the college. Christian Concern members protested outside the abortion clinics and its founder Andrea Williams believes in the criminalisation of homosexuality. She claimed the earth is only 4,000 years old not the 4.5 billion years by science community. The group wants to host the residential camp for young people, aims to train and equip the invited students on what it means to proclaim Christ in public life, but JCR members vote rejects the residency by a margin of 81 votes to eight, with two absentia. According to student newspaper OxStu, “members of the JCR spoke in the debate recognised Christian Concern as “real threat to the physical and mental safety of students.” One student made point “we’re inviting them into our home and we can’t invite people who stand against our values.” The debate was consultative, but the college’s governing body will make its final decision next week. The move is understood to be driven by the LGBT students who say they wouldn’t feel so welcome if the college gives platform to the Christian camp. There is a perceived threat because of organisation’s history of pro-life choice protests outside the abortion clinics. The camp is supposed to take place next summer, before term starts but no fixed date has been set. Although the vast majority of students will not be at the college, some will be on site doing research projects. Around 60 postgraduates live permanently on site. In a statement to The OxStu, Oxford student newspaper, a JCR spokesperson said: “The JCR met to discuss and pass a motion that they oppose the Christian group coming. But, until a decision is made, it would not be appropriate to comment further.”

IT IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH

The American President Donald Trump explains statement against Africans: “If after 50 years of independence you did not build necessary infrastructure for people, are you humans? “If you sit on gold, diamond, oil, manganese, uranium and your people don’t have any food are you humans? “If in power, you buy weapons from strangers to kill your citizens, are you humans? “If your social project is stay in power for life, are you being human? “If you despise and shoot your own citizens like game, who will respect them? If you take all the resources for development of your country for your personal property are you humans? if you leave the country’s healthcare unattended to treat yourself abroad are you humans? “Until your leaders think less of themselves and more about your people. You are not human but animal.” These statements show lack of economic independence for African nations still suffering under cumbersome exploitation. Past slavery and colonial domination by generations by usurped rulers is responsible for the evils suffered. African resources are exchanged for the white man’s guns and products seen as superior to locally made goods and foods. Imbalance of trade means Africans not paid enough so get the IMF loans to buy more guns. Some whites now discover what their ancestors did to Africans in the name of being “merchants” and the “scientific explorers. Some are very shocked and horrified by their damage done to the Africans in history. One cannot inherit enmity and hatred because ALMIGHTY GOD IS ULTIMATE OWNER AND JUDGE to deal with injustice done to Africans. Its the reason God sent Jesus non white to sort out injustice on the earth at the right time. Christianity is from Iraq also known as Babylonia through Abraham from UR near Nineveh. Jesus is from the Middle East and a Jewish man who gave His Life to save those who BELIEVE BY FREEWILL CHOICE to love and accept Jesus as Saviour. So Caucasians are not the SOURCE of Christianity. If you read history missionaries are different from slave traders incited by Belgian king or other kings and queens who sponsored European merchants.IMG_20181024_105615.jpgBe wise and careful in your response to evil treatments meted out to Africans by other countries. Do not base your life or faith on hatred to spread fear, anger or discord. Love God and love people and it is best to agree to disagree. Anger and no amount of hatred stops evil people to change to do good but every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess Jesus is Lord. The evil people will face God in judgement as world events show Jesus is coming soon so be ready for Rapture not arguments. Christianity is based in FAITH IN GOD IN CHRIST not fights or arguments. God does not force people to follow HIS SON JESUS YET ALL RICHES, WEALTH BELONG TO GOD. And before feeling personally exclusively as owner to insult exploiters, remember a lack of spirit of unity among all Africans causes fights over resources to allow others to take it over. Divide and rule conquered Africa with factions led by the West and China. So will never apologise because it means they admit responsibility for underdevelopment of Africa. To admit they destroyed Africa means admitting guilt and responsiblity. So Africans will demand compensation for all the years duped to RETURN ALL GOODS to them. This will strip West naked so they will never do si because if Africans collect resources, artefacts, receive overdue compensation then the West will go bankrupt . This is why they remain as leeches sucking life out of Africa. They will not hand over Africa back to them on a silver platter. Neither do Africans have right to insult current generations in West not responsible for ancestor’s past actions. The best solution is that you celebrate your culture, value your life, do something good, farm, help old people, cook, sell the natural resources fairly to benefit Africa too. The best thing Africans can do is to HELP EACH OTHER. Do not wait for those enjoying your wealth to return it to you, they will never do so. Being angry and frustrated will not help you because they will not surrender to you so they starve. African leaders tried in the past to unite and to defeat them through Organisation Of African Unity (OAU) in vain. Nkrumah, Nelson Mandela, Patrick Lumumba and others were killed or jailed to suppress them. Based on Word of God Africans must humble themselves to seek God’s Face, repent so GOD WILL HEAL THE LAND, FORGIVE Africans and return wealth exploited to them. Exploiters do not care about well-being of Africans so do not try to fight spiritual wickedness in high places with guns. The African’s battle is the LORD’S so its not a human problem, it is satan’s root of LOVE OF MONEY WHICH IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL. WHAT WAS THE WORLD WARS ABOUT? WAS IT NOT OVER DISPUTED TERRITORIES, OTHER PEOPLE’S LANDS AND THEIR RESOURCES? Love pleasure more than LOVE God do not love fellow human beings. Travel the whole world to collect things, resources of everyone, waste it or bury perfectly good foods to deprive and starve other people using food as weapons of population controls. This is witchcraft, no guns or weapons can defeat such history. Anger, hatred, spewed vitriol destroys people, drains, emotionally, wastes time and energy. So do you really think usurpers will return goods when Jesus said the rich exploit others to be richer. Read Revelations 19:15-19 to see how GOD AND JESUS, OWNER OF ALL WEALTH WILL DEAL with them. Stop your anger or hatred and LOVE YOURSELVES even if anyone hates you, do not insult them to change their mind to love you. Two wrongs don’t make things right so call on God to save you.

HIGHLY EDUCATED STUPID?

051a9879c98b9715605584256aeb1a99c50c6a-wmThis outrageous statement is brought to our attention through debate by people discussing the direction of the world. It was argued George Orwell and Pascal, among great achievers and influencers never went to university yet successful. Some points made include these facts as follows: that education restricts natural wisdom and insists on compliance and conformity of students. One size fits all curriculum is not designed to promote natural skills, talents or abilities rather imposes views and propaganda agenda of a dominant culture. Regardless of the relevance of education to each student its compulsory to study pass assessed on league table to determine course of career. Generalised syllabus is market driven for sales and profit for lucrative exam boards which is another factor. So government funding based on category of subjects considered for grants means schools must present candidates for the courses without teachers and resources to qualify for allowance for the budget. Children’s subjects imposed on them for the sake of keeping up appearances but their certificates registered ‘failed’ even though hardly taught subjects. A school size matters too so their population size determines the amount school receives. Children incapable of reading, spelling, communicating by up to date academic standard copy subjects not taught so it seems performance is excellent in their school report. Teachers do performance related but struggle with children below average forced to learn. Exceptionally gifted talented children suffer because time for lessons too limited to motivate them at their level. Some are bored and lose interest or are homeschooled by a parent giving up career to teach them. It is the context of such extreme cases that frustrate students that they become an educated person. Hoping to get a job to earn income or take loans to continue higher and further education. Despite a life choice in either direction education is still not considered enough to meet all needs of everyone in society. The elite view is that education is the key to life to solve all problems. nelsonmandela1Get so cross when others don’t take such view of education as they do due to a sense of entitlement. People talk of culture of entitlement by those who live on benefits but the elite has its own entitlement culture. They think because they studied at particular University or a specific subject it means they understand the world better than a ‘plebeians.’ They think they are superior so their view should prevail. They also think they are morally superior because they hold views they are told, virtuous. Anyone who appears not to subscribe to these views considered a sinner or else appallingly misled by some other evil force. It is outrageous to elite works of “devil” should prevail against them. It is they who are virtuous so knows best as the chosen ones. Their views or ideas they impose on others they expect and intend to prevail whether society likes it or not. This basic fundamental belief is the construct of education as if every other culture is tabula rasa non-existent blank society waiting to be civilised. It is such condescending biased views some responses complained damages diverse cultures in society. Jefferson-education-768x476Forced, suppressed and the subdued by compulsory subjects to tow the line of only civilised society. History is always written by victors from their point of view portraying victims as perpetrators. Underlying fear is that subdued cultures will find way to overcome suppression to make new life for themselves without total dependence on dominant culture. Their economies will collapse because other cultures are the extension of their market place. Without selling good to such cultures will be limited in growth. Secondly, resources exploited from this cultures will not be available if they can process and sell it directly to each other without the middleman meddling with their minds and paying them with old rustic weapons to fight and kill each other. The study of some subjects never come up int classroom way down at the bottom of the curriculum. There is not enough weeks in the year to reach the subject deliberately fixed in the holiday months. Disparity of one-way education limits an appropriate knowledge of the dominant culture who despise and lack understanding “plebeians.” benjaminfranklin1-2xDerogatory attitude towards the other culture, insults treating them as inferior permeates society. Causes frustration of younger generations made to think they will improve their lot in life through an education. It is worse after education because theory does not match reality in life worst of all now heavily indebted without jobs. Irony is billionaires have free accommodations, free perks or free fares to fly globally to spend allowance given them in free hotels paid for. And the compulsory educated look on while it seems provisions are readily available for certain elites of society from their taxes paid. Worst of all the least treated are original owners of wealth misused and flaunted in their faces. How does an elite class indulging in luxury expect the starving hungry ‘plebeian’ servant class running up and down to fulfill all their egotistical demand and tantrum wishes to feel? Is too much to ask to live and let live to agree to disagree? Go to remotest hovel on planet earth and TV is there, fresh clean spring water rejected for the unhealthy fizzy sugary drink, packaged canned food preferred to a rich natural local nourishment in the name modern sophistication. Free milk ban in schools led to fizzy drink increasing allergies. ekhaya-ekasiWomen must consulted for an inclusive policy to benefit familes, disabled and all sectors of society. Education cannot be just to enrich a few powerful men in power to waste resources only on their wants at the expense of all people. The everyday reports shows people’s health damaged by junk food published in data and statistics by many nutrition boards. Environment is destroyed by persistent distorted belief a privilged few deserve the best in life. Others flabbergasted like cargo cult want imported things best to consume than grow their local produce. Unless agricultural students or a family business, farm producing poultry, cattle milk etc. most educated want to sit by computer all day. They sincerely believe educated people must never do the blue colour jobs. Billions all over the world are waiting and hoping for day things will automatically fall into place so they will become rich like those they aspire to be like. They do not realise the most successful people spend years on shop floor learning skills, doing odd jobs and perfecting crafts before breakthroughs. Many strongly think preposterous ideas, flaunted on a social media followed by a lots of people suddenly turns to millions dollars to make them rich. Look to a few making billions misguided and misled by online money scams. Rich offshore accounts of hidden wealth of the rich is grown by a pyramid scheme investors creating debts for the young who want such expensive things free too. alberteinstein1-2xSome think expensive products with the glamorous packaging thrown away is a better quality. This misnomer is driving society geared it towards AI robots and a driverless car creating unemployment due to fear middle classes will take over to control society. Perpetually subdue, stress put under pressure mental health sleepless nights on medication driven to suicide because of policies harassing citizens. What is good for the goose is not obviously good for the gander with low pay for the women doing equal jobs it seems education has a lot to learn from society to fix itself. It seems Jesus’ words of that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer is played right before our eyes. It is as if licence is given to the rich to go all the way out to exploit the poor to humiliate to fulfil the prophecy of Jesus. Jesus the OWNER of all wealth will hold educated elite rich to account for how they managed and shared HIS WEALTH.  Projects enrich wealthy who can afford to pay while people deemed less in society on scandalous zero hour contract or work hard but go to food banks for food. They deliberately kill off society softly keeping wealth for greedy privileged few. The world is soon going to be over elite need to reconsider their views towards God’s priceless humans created treated badly. Read Revelations 19:15-19 describing the consequences of mistreatment of plebeians by the highly educated who consistently maintain the structures that affects people. They may not value them but are Highly Valued by God their CREATOR. Fear of lacking resources drives many to deprive others but remember God Owns it all. Why will you gain the whole world and perish by losing your soul to material things that cannot be taken out of this world. Yet is going to be used by God to judge people for not sharing material things totally useless in heaven or hell depending on destination. Intelligence in not enough because education is one component of life among other factors: family matters, child or elderly care, health, neighbours and finances. More years are spend on education but untrained to handle long-term life issues concerning others.bertrandrussell1-2x

In 1999 in publication of David Dunning and Justin Kruger the psychologists had noticed in prior studies that areas like reading comprehension, playing chess, driving car, blissful ignorance is falsely confident more than a knowledgeable. Cornell University conducts experiment on effect showing less competent people overestimate their own skills and don’t recognize when other’s superior skills. It requires competent skills to produce a right answer to recognize right answers in life. Smart people listen attentively to consider argument before any decision.

3. Stupid people react by aggressive anger

The smartest people do get angry from time to time but for the less intelligent people its go-to reaction if things aren’t going their way. Loss of control over a situation tends to use angry aggressive behavior to secure their view. Research by University of Michigan studying 600 participants with parents and children, over 22 years found distinct correlation between aggressive behaviour and the lower IQ-score. The researchers wrote in their elaboration: “We hypothesized low intelligence made learnt aggressive responses more likely at early age, and this aggressive behaviour continued so an intellectual development difficult.”750124-Neal-Stephenson-Quote-The-difference-between-stupid-and (1)

4. Stupid people ignore needs feelings of others

Intelligent people tend to be very good at empathizing with others. This makes it easy for them to understand another person’s point of view. Russel James of the Texas Tech University conducted a representative study with thousands of Americans and found out that people with a higher IQ are more inclined to give without expecting anything in return. As it turns out, an intelligent person is better at assessing the needs of other people and also more likely to want to help them. “People with higher cognitive ability able to understand and fulfill needs of distant others.” People less smart have a hard time imagining people think differently than them so disagree with them. A concept of doing things for others without expecting a favour in return is foreign to them. It’s completely normal, human, important to keep balance between need to pursue our goals but consider other’s feelings.

5. Stupid people think better than all

Intelligent people motivate and help others because they are not afraid of being overshadowed. They have healthy level of confidence and smart enough to accurately assess own competence. The stupid people on the other hand tend to badmouth others in order to look better themselves. They believe they are above everyone else so always quick to judge. Prejudice is not a sign of intelligence. A Canadian “Psychological Science” study by two scientists at Brock University of Ontario found “those with low IQs tend more in favour of harsh punishments, more homophobic and more likely to be racist.” Many biologists believe human ability to cooperate is instrumental to our overall development. It means the most important signifier of intelligence is being good at working with others.

TRAIN CHILD FOR LIFESKILL

The Bible says train a child in the way they should go so when they grow they will not depart from it. Especially boys are struggling because they do not express their real feelings for fear of being judged weak. This program is wonderful so must continue through teenage years into adulthood. Limited resources must not stop mentoring them at the most critical times in their lives. Like other Science projects of Professor Robert Wilson among others this program must continue for the next few more years so their hard work will not be in vain. This men are doing a great job and need sponsors to extend it further beyond childhood. It will be good to follow up throughout their teenage and adult years so they retain their knowledge and manners. Other peers and friends that come into their lives later without similar training can influence the vulnerable ones. So need help and support of well wishers to continue this program into teenage years, university, training for skills, careers to transition into adult life. Programmes like First University of the Child and Connections in the Secondary Schools enable children to get the right guidance required. In the past projects were limited to 4 years funding if run by government and then changed into another project for the sake of funding conditions. This is not sufficient long term to help them fully grasp life goals for good success. Their contemporaries often get private fundings to develop practical life skills to continue into business men or the chief executives of corporate bodies. While this program is highly valued and appreciated, please let it not be another statistics of 1% success years later because others drifted off. Coach Carter stood by his basketball playing students in their teenage years despite challenges faced. Please continue this hard work into the future so we look forward to more success from this story. Please ask for more help if you need it to support this program. If you can help please do not wait to be asked first because this good success impacts the community and nation as a whole. Well done and God bless you for your sacrifices and precious times devoted to helping these priceless children. Please encourage their reading skills and academic studies too like Coach Carter. EYE CONTACT IS CRUCIAL BECAUSE OTHER CULTURES TEACH CHILDREN OUT OF RESPECT NOT TO LOOK DIRECTLY INTO EYES OF ELDERS. Misunderstood by Western Countries as “lying” unable to keep eye contact, picked on needlessly, harrassed by law enforcement, lacking important knowledge to understand the difference in the upbringing of children by other cultures. GET RELEVANT EDUCATION

Pursuit of academic excellence within the ability of every child is important to reinforce need to help children get their priority right. As individual differences impact talents and abilities it means the child must be guided at own pace to be the best they can be. So children thrive right from onset of education or bloom later like bamboo shoots with delayed growth spurt. These difference in levels of achievements can frustrate children and parents who finds school difficult to cope with. The lack of support to help slow learners or gifted children causes them to implode, misbehave or disrupt the class. Compulsory education society has not succeeded in personally tailored education still. Therefore children find it extremely hard to adapt or adjust to the impossible standard imposed on the children. Worst of all is the unnecessary exams forced on children to grade them on league tables to prove which schools are the best in the country. However, a child in a privileged class private school is sitting exact exams with the deprived in society. This pressure compels some of those children unable to do so well to look for ways out of difficult impossible challenges they face daily in school. And some experience difficult circumstances at home, bereaved, or a divorced family, supporting sick or disabled parents or it is domestic or physical abuse, violence. With such backgrounds in some cases a child faces these extreme problems of a combination of all at the same time. On other occasions the language difficulties also compounds these problems. And its still expected of a child to be A* pupil or student in college and university later. These complex problems of the children can include poverty and starvation if in a deprived community but required to do well. Indeed some do well but most of the children facing these challenges cause them to react by rebelling with peers in similar situations for support. At times some parents are too busy and overwhelmed to realise what is going on a child’s lives before it is too late to help them. Meanwhile children’s look and appearance has become a welcome diversion for not doing so well. This is a major trend whereby their competitive urge to be the best dressed in the most expensive  clothing brands and hair dos become the centre of focus. To belong to a peer group, their friends will not play or interact with them if the appearance is not deemed fit to be in their group. It is a serious issue causing fights and the attacks of those beaten for dressing less or more than peer group. Children are attacked for trainers, iphones, iPads or designer handbags or clothes. Most of the children dress better those working hard footing the bill for their designer wears. To fuel this hierarchy status turf wars, most resort to drug selling and a lifestyle beyond their means. Pressure to conform means whatever means can be used to accomplish demands is used.IMG_20180607_181814 Not focussing on home work to keep up with their academic education means unachievable grades and poor results. The cycle is repeated after not achieving good grades becomes more frustrated with career options. Due to their tastes and expensive lifestyle some find it hard to work a daily job or keep up with stable employment. Some are now used earning thousands of dollars in the streets so continue that way. But it gets complicated as they face threats of attacks of turf wars and gang fights. It is interesting the millennial generation with every abundant material wealth in modern times beyond past generations are also the most unhappy, stressed and miserable ones. On top of all these is an addiction to games, drugs, alcohol and a risk taking dare-devil lifestyle cutting short-lived in their prime. The children have becomes victims of superabundant society more interested in profits or the value of property than emotional needs of these children. Year on year statistics show things are getting worse for these generation trapped in cycle of external appearance and look more than content of their character. Superficial egotistic fleeting looks and clothing labels seems more important to them than priceless God-given natural life. Superabundance around lure them to think only external material things and looks count most. In the process create anger, envy, jealousy, hatred and fights some willing to kill peers for. And yet the root of this problem is not addressed to guide these children to find fulfillment in real value of life preservation. Pressure to get rich quick to get the most expensive gadgets, games and physical looks overrule desire to study hard. Most find academic work too frustrating but remain in school as the las demands. So disturb the class or attack dedicated children working hard and excelling. The solution is not simple but pressure to attain league tables is a part of the cause of frustrations of some those children. In addition, the families have very high expectations of them so also pressurize them to work harder. If a child becomes overwhelmed, look for support from friends and peers to help them rather confide in parents. So the cycle of frustration, is numbed by TV watching, games or playing out with the friends. They cannot stay at home alone so go out on the streets among the drug dealers and grooming paedophiles who take advantage of their naivety. Is there any way educational purpose becomes imparting knowledge to children to gain information relevant to their lives and not merely business for exam boards to grade them on the exam league tables. There is direct connection between the compulsory pressure knowledge power uses to control people. Millions are even more frustrated after university when they realise not many human jobs are available to do. With higher standard of living and surmounting debts now face even more challenging circumstances after graduation. These global millineal generation cannot farm, eat from home-grown produce or survive with money spent several a day. It is a generation revolving around money and material things while tons of food and clothing are thrown away daily by privileged. It sends wrong message about capitalism as acquisition of global resources for a few. Children watch and yearn for such luxury goods at their doorsteps so often above their means. They crave their cut in these illusive wealth they see but do not attain despite academic success. It is gets worse as the system set up frustrate them to turn on each other by hanging around others than value their families.IMG_20180607_181942 Parents under pressure doing several jobs need to set time aside each night to be with their children and talk to them. The support of families in the lives of the children makes a great deal of difference. Sacrifice a personal selfish comfort at expense of children to nurture them and spend quality time with them. Get to know your children to be the first person they talk to rather than a wrong friend putting them under peer pressure to get into trouble. At the end of the day him life is the best gift in life God gives so treasure children and teach them go value their lives. Yes it is good to look good and dress well but it must not becomes a cause of conflict in school education. A decent moderate appearance with excellent grades often helps gain exceptional opportunities to accomplish great things. Just take a look at photo of old clothes and hairstyles to ask yourself is this the reason one could not study hard to build a career? Unless in the fashion industry business clothes change with colours of seasons so worth asking yourself if its better to invest in books, educational gadget, school needs to enhance academic achievement. And parents must not condone with children to argue with schools over hairdo and designer clothing than grades in school. A lot of children waste time on dressing up, make ups, changing their looks for Selfies and preoccupied with vanity. So do not study and hope for quick bucks making money by unrealistic methods. It is necessary to help children study at home, supervised and checked without fibs of assignments done on the school computer. This generation is so smart parents need to be aware to help them. Some play away their youth and pay for it by having to suffer in middle age. And the gifted embark on success sacrificing youth to pave way to rewarding future but feel lonely and isolated. Recently, David Graeber, LSE anthropologist and author, said 37-40% of people feel their jobs are pointless; worse still, they are generally correct. The career they chose did not fulfil them as school subjects were forced on them to meet criteria for grants. The chance of feeling valued in society after emerging from strains of final education is challenging for those who struggled in school or the gifted who made it with excellent grades. Can education meet realistic needs of pupils and students? Others adopt the extreme measures of taking their lives when it was too much to deal with challenges of life. What is the purpose of education if it creates casualties than fulfilled adults.

A SOCIAL GOSPEL OF JESUS

the-new-evangelization-and-social-justice-6-638Jesus preached a social gospel typically to diverse audience of religious leaders, governors, media, officials, the masses, to reach their heart, mind, body, soul to relate with others on Godly terms. This theme King put in historical context as part of social justice to bring awareness to each other. Especially with regard to God’s superabundant human resources provided and entrusted to all as stewards. Reverend King, the prophet, theologian, scholar, preacher, pastor dwelt on these social gospel themes analysing society’s lifelong struggles for economic justice, empowerment of the poor working-class people of all colours. King described himself as “profound advocate of social gospel” who tried to teach the capitalist system not to put profit, property rights ahead of basic human rights demanded people have adequate food, education, housing, decent job, well paid income. His more revolutionary quest for social justice, society above racist poverty, prevention of war not celebrated as his peaceful civil rights movement. Martin Luther King Jr. emphasised there is no intrinsic difference between workers. And King told American Federation of Labour and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) an American important trade union in 1963, that skin colour, ethnicity must not divide those working for a living, he said. “Economic justice,” King said, required land so men must not take all the basic necessities to give luxuries to the few,” and “where all our gifts and resources are held not for ourselves alone but as instruments of service for the rest of humanity.” Same year, King called on President J. F Kennedy to honour emancipation of African-Americans from slavery in 100 years before. King said, a new freedom agenda is necessary. People gather at the end of the Poor People March on 19 June 19 1968 in Washington DC.This agenda was not only about civil rights so 28 August demonstration culminated in King’s “I Have a Dream” speech publicized 4th April Washington for Job Freedom. It was result of many years of organizing by black workers and their unions. In his speech, King said nations gave former slaves a “bad check” promise of freedom that did not materialize. And generations later, his dream is for equal rights for substantive change in people’s economic and social conditions. Though country’s adoption of Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act completed “first phase” of freedom movement King said. The “second phase” was for “economic equality” so everyone could have a well-paying job or basic level of income with decent levels of healthcare, education and housing. In October 1966, 100,000 copies of the booklet A Freedom Budget for All Americans, with introduction by King distributed by unions. Freedom Budget proposed a second New Deal to promote job growth of living wages for public spending on social goods. After 50 years since Martin Luther’s demand for equal human rights for all people, it is sad go say things have gotten worse. Although it is true that great strides are achieved since 50 years, some of these issues got worse for working classes. So many are suffering although they built the country and their labour, resourses or blood sacrificed as veterans to fight and defend country they do not receive the due entitlement. As a matter of fact society has shifted from human centred needs of Marlow’s hierarchy to selfish few depriving the majority. The divide of haves and have nots intensified and so many thousands now homeless and without food daily. It is scandalous tons of perfectly good food, clothes, items are thrown away instead of giving it to poor starving and dying daily. Government issued final warning to the businesses to report gender pay gap by midnight it emerged Conservative party did not plan to file its own figures until a day after the deadline. Amber Rudd, the minister for women and equalities as well as home secretary, said there was no excuse for businesses not to be transparent as deadline on Wednesday 4th approached warned them refusing to report is breaking law. Jesus-expulsa-vendilhoes-do-templo IMG_20180424_195818Those with 250 or more employees had until before midnight to meet the legal requirement to report a pay gap data to government or face enforcement action by Equality Commission. 50 years after Martin Luther King’s pleas for the social and economic system justice still society seems worse off. Jesus said the rich are getting richer while the poor get poorer due to greed of those in charge of God’s resources misallocated. Hardworking people are poorest dealing with lack of resources, hunger, poverty inspite of challenges keep their heads up high with dignity. Those in charge label them “lazy” underclass not worth same equal treatment. Those entrusted responsible to provide equally for them hurt them by their unfair policies. The world sees more wealth and more resources than ever before limited exclusively to those few privileged at the top. They ensure all their needs and luxurious wants met but despise other’s needs and refuse to provide for them. Many suffer and die needlessly because of such treatments and unfair policies. #Paymetoo women’s platform seeks justice from boardrooms exclusively run by men without realistic knowledge of women and family needs. Society is still run by draconian policies that treat women as inferior weaker sex not competent as male counterparts. So refuse to recognise great talents and the achievements of women globally in all spheres of life. Some men literally think paying women well diminishes power over them use pay gap to bully women. Interesting colleagues trained by same experts, graduates of same universities, employed by same company refuse to pay them equally because is male and other female. Gender is used to punish career women working twice to run the home, family and gender discrimination at work. 21st Century women in space contribute to all aspects of life. Behind every successful man is a woman and men need women’s input so pay well. It is important macho policies recognise a need to provide to help working-class children’s life chances and wellbeing as they are introducing policies actively to make their lives worse. Look at anti-welfare measures like cutting “in-work” benefits freezing housing and children’s benefits. So education system scrapped education maintenance grants, stripped school budgets so teachers are unable to afford paper for their pupils. Closure of local youth clubs and children’s centres as research from Barnardo’s this week finds funding to early-years children’s services has been cut by 50% in some areas since 2010. Families now choose between eating and buying medicines. social justice and the gospelPeople gather at the end of Poor People March on 19 June 1968 in Washington DC. Photograph: Arnold Sachs/AFP/Getty Images Before travelling to Memphis in 1968 to participate in garbage-workers’ strike King had been criss-crossing the country for weeks, promoting a multi-racial coalition to pressure Congress to reallocate money from Vietnam war to money for human needs. King called it Poor People’s Campaign so promoted an economic bill of rights for all Americans including five pillars of meaningful jobs at a living wage; a secure and adequate income; access to land; access to capital, for poor people, minorities; ability for ordinary people to play truly significant role in government. It was, King said, a “last ditch” effort to save America from the interrelated evils of racism, poverty and war. Historians constantly search for and reshape knowledge of the past, based on challenges faced in their own times. Public awareness focus on King’s “first phase” of the movement, for civil voting, rights, a plethora of scholarship sees King as inconvenient hero who led a movement beyond civil rights to more fundamental economic or social change.JIMEverything decent and fair in American life is under threat, King said in his time so all must do well to remember a fight for economic justice as King’s dream for better encompassing American society. Remembering King’s economic justice, broadly conceived helps understand the relevance of his legacy today. It helps us to realize King’s moral discourse of the gap between “haves and the have-nots” from his role in labour movement and civil rights movements. Remembering eloquent man in the Lincoln Memorial in 1963, remembers King as man on the streets, sitting in jail cells, or as a man rousing workers at union conventions and on union picket lines. Remembered as nonviolent surrounded by a violent police, screaming mobs, and physically assaulted by white racists sometimes. It is essential all nations remember King’s crusade seeking justice and fairness for all alternatives to America’s exploitative racial capitalism. King is remembered as a pioneer helping to understand the agenda for modern times. Exploitative capitalism will come to an end as Bible warns in the book of Revelations.

WOMEN EARNING LESS PAY

1561_A4_Email_Poster.inddWomen are rewarded less for loyalty and are paid up to a quarter less than their male colleagues in the most male-dominated occupations according to an analysis of gender gaps. While the UK’s overall gender pay gap been steadily shrinking over the years, the median salary for men working full-time is still nine per cent higher for women. And so defenders cite the fact that women tend to do different and less well paid jobs than men, earning less on average. New figures from the Office for National Statistics show the big discrepancies in pay between men and women engaged in similar job. The unequal occupations in terms of pay are skilled trades roles with the pay gap standing at 24.8 per cent among these jobs.IMG_20180117_155822 Chief Executives and Senior Officials came in a close second with a gender pay gap of 24.7 per cent. Same jobs % pay gap for full-time workers different occupations found the Chief Executives and Senior Officials Managers and Directors Other Managers, Proprietors Professional Associate Professional and Technical Administrative, Secretarial Skilled Trades Caring Leisure, Services Sales and Customer Service Process PlantMachine Operatives Elementary 12.5% all receive much higher pay than their female counterparts. So no coincidence that these roles are the ones which are the most male-dominated 92 per cent of employed in skilled trade occupations are men. This is known as occupational crowding. Whether through personal choice or discrimination during hiring process, women are less likely to enter these heavily male-skewed occupations, thus affecting pay.IMG_20180117_155345

Women rewarded less for jobs

In addition to finding a wide range of discrepancies on an occupational level, the ONS analysis also found that women’s pay peaks earlier than men’s (45 compared to 48 for men in the private sector) and that the gap accelerates sharply when workers enter their 40s. While the ONS ascribe this acceleration to women taking career breaks to have children necessary to multiply and replenish the earth. The analysis found women are rewarded less for job loyalty than men are. For example, a woman who has been in the same job for between five and 10 years earns an average of 8.7 per cent more per hour than a woman who has just started the same job. A man in the same situation earns 13 per cent more than a man with no experience in the role.

Discrimination in pay gap

The goal of this analysis from the ONS was to ascertain how much of the gender pay gap could be explained by examining characteristics such as age, occupation and job tenure. In the end, this model could only only account for 36.1 per cent of the variation found in the data, indicating that there are a lot of other factors could be biased against women. The report states:

“The analysis would benefit from information on family structures, education and career breaks; without these the unexplained element is over-stated. “Factors such as the number of children, the age of children, whether parents have any caring responsibilities, the number of years spent in school and highest level of qualification achieved are likely to improve the estimation of men’s and women’s pay structures and consequently decrease unexplained element of pay gap. “As a result, unexplained element interpreted as a measure of discrimination, although it is possible that this plays a part.”
