WHAT DID JESUS SAY ON TAX

IMG-20190718-WA0003.jpgMatthew 17:24-27;22:15, Mark 12; Luke 20, Jesus said, Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, to God what belongs to God. The Biblical accounts of Gospels in Capernaum said tax collectors of two drachma temple tax asked Peter if Jesus pays tax, he said He does. If Jesus paid taxes then what did Jesus teach His disciples? Matthew records two taxes  Jesus paid in Matthew 17:24-27; 22:15-22 temple tax and tax to government in Rome. People asked Jesus: “Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar?” It was a ploy to set a trap for Jesus. But He saw through their attempt to manipulate Him and falsely accuse Him of asking people not to pay. 15634591710442531419311844554429.jpgSo obliged to pay the tax, Jesus paid His taxes with the coin from the mouth of a fish Peter caught. Tax collector cornered Peter and asked if Jesus paid the temple tax. Later in Matthew 17:2427 Jesus said to Peter at home, “Simon, does the kings collect taxes from their own children or from other people? Peter answered the others. And Jesus replied we don’t want to cause trouble go cast a net in the lake and the first fish you catch open mouth, and you will find a coin. Use coin to pay your taxes and mine.” Take it and give them for my tax and yours.”15634589315132523190425229438762.jpgJesus told the Pharisees and Herodians to give to Caesar things belong to Caesar in Mark 12. The issue is controversial as people disagree on how the government spends money. Some people feel angry because their needs are not met though they pay tax. The Bible example of Jesus to pay taxes again in Gospel of Matthew Mark and Luke are other account of the Pharisees trying to trap Jesus to find the reason to accuse him. In Matthew 22:15-22 Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap Jesus to use His words against Him.Jesus on Taxes in the BiblePharisees disciples with Herodians said “Teacher,” they said, “we know you are sincere so teach the way of God in truth. You are not influenced by men. Tell us, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?” Jesus, knowing their evil intention said, “You hypocrites why are you trying to trap me? Show a coin for paying tax.” They brought him a denarius and He asked them, “Whose head inscription?” They said, “Caesar’s. Then He said to them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God belongs to God.” When they heard this, they were amazed so they left him and went away.20190718_152609.jpgIf Jesus refused to pay or He condemned Caesar they will accuse Jesus of inciting rebellion. People had no choice but to pay as Jesus also did. And Zachaeus a tax collector climbed a tree to see Jesus passing by. Impressed Jesus dined in his home during meal he decided to restore money he extorted by collecting taxes in Mark 2:13-17. In Psalm 24:1, The earth is the LORD’S and everything in it but life requires money to function, pay staff, provide services, resources, processing, printing costs, transporting goods. And maintaining the structures and repairs restoration, regeneration, grounds and gardens etc. Too numerous to list costs of services provided by the nations. Amazon, Google, Wealthy Offshore accounts do not pay tax proportionately fairly like others.20190718_152057.jpgJesus and His disciples voluntarily gave to the Temple tax and state to set a good example. Taxes paid directly to local tax collectors who decided what people pay. Tax collectors paid by charging people more to earn money.  Levi, the apostle was the customs official in Capernaum taxed imports and exports as he liked. The Jews hated him because he worked for Rome and betrayed his countrymen.  Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector for the Jericho district notorious for taxes changed meeting Jesus of Nazareth.15634592789297575198766104501144.jpgPeople are saying the tax exemption for Churches are unfair making mega rich pastors super wealthy multimillionaires Church members struggle to pay bills, food, mortgage, health insurance, fees or basic necessities of life. Private jets, mansions get bigger, fleet of cars longer but members poor. Its a major source of tension rich multi billionaires are state sponsored in extravagant lifestyles. Schools reduce hours, hospitals cut staff budget reduced. The churches use tithe, offerings, donations, for salaries wages, cost of projects, feed orphans, help poor under the radar, homeless, HIV, disaster flood victims, TV ministry, preaching, teaching Gospel Message of Jesus Christ, Evangelism etc. among wonderful work  of God. Admission fee puts people off so first time Benny Hinn was at NEC entry was free. Thousands turned up with no room for overflow solved crowd control next visit with ticket admission. Only a few people turned up venue was almost empty. God said nobody must enter HIS Presence empty handed so Jesus talked about the widow’s mite even poor give. In Exodus 23:15 God said, no one shall appear before ME empty-handed. Also in Exodus 34:20 God said no one must appear before ME empty-handed. Again in  Deuteronomy 16:16 God said do not appear before the LORD empty-handed.20190718_151828.jpgGap between the rich and poor widens causing hunger and the stress, pressure, unemployment, lack, in deprived areas. No resources for disadvantaged so most public servants cannot get on the home ownership ladder. Many depend on the food banks despite their hard work and education. Zero hour job wastes time of trained staff without job or income. And the popular highly influential Christian leaders spew wrong ideas as ‘Christian Ideas.’ Don’t be misled…Study the bible yourself to know the truth of the Word of Christ. Read Bible as JesusFollowers and Christian’s. Some think Churches must follow Jesus’ example to provide fairly for the least in society too. So gap between rich and poor widens as many continue to suffer daily, starve and die in the most advance developed wealthy countries. Unfortunately a Class divide disproportionately allocate lion share to themselves as the world watches them flaunt it in their faces daily. 1 Timothy 6:10 says the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Craving more money is cause of all evil in doing so wander from true faith so pierce themselves with sorrow.20190718_170247.jpg20190718_152338.jpgIMG-20190717-WA0000.jpgChristian family is fined taxes saying it is against God’s will to pay taxes. The  Christian family refused to pay income tax because its “against God’s will” but are ordered to pay more than A$2m tax (£1.1m $1.4m) to Australia’s tax office. It is Christian debate Rembertus Cornelis Beerepoot and Fanny Alida Beerepoot of Tasmania do not pay income tax since 2011 as their religious right. Their farm was seized and sold by a local council in 2017 for not paying seven years of tax rates. Ms Beerepoot told the court: “We don’t own anything because it is God’s.” The siblings represented themselves in Supreme Court of Tasmania Wednesday, after did not pay $930,000 in income tax or other charges in 2017 ABC News said. The Beerepoots leave court on 17 July 2019Rembertus Cornelis Beerepoot (left) and Fanny Alida Beerepoot (far right) seen here outside the court in Tasmania. Mr Beerepoot argued the law of God is the “supreme law of this land” and making people pay tax weakens dependency on God, leading to “curses… in the form of droughts and infertility.” “Transferring allegiance from God to Commonwealth means rebelling against God breaking first commandment,” he said, according to the public broadcaster. In judgement, Associate Justice Stephen Holt said he believed Beerepoots’ beliefs is genuinely held but there is no specific reference in Bible to support their argument. “In my view, Bible effectively said civil matters and law of God operate in two different spheres.” So the siblings ordered to pay sums of – Ms Beerepoot A$1.17m and Mr Beereport A$1.16m to cover income tax, administrative penalties and all interest charges” and costs in court documents. DECEIVER DECEIVES WORLD

1541626902374605598922.jpgDeceiver deceives deceived without some people realising satan deceived them. It is as Jesus warns in Matthew 24:24 that even elect deceived if not alert or aware of the manipulations. The devil is satan, father of all lies, deceiver, blinds, leads captives by deceit. So satan’s deception affects the whole world as scripture says to deceive all the nations. Deceitful goal deceived angels to try to overthrow God and to mislead believers because hates born-again Christians, Jews and God’s angels. Uses strategies to deceive to lead people down wrong path thousands of years. Once called lucifer and knows music that impresses people became too proud to submit to God. Chucked out of heaven targets God’s people on earth to deceive and recruit to hell exclusively prepared only for devil and demons. A lot of people think satan is just a comic invention for fun messing about taking the mick out of people. The subtle deceit comes in forms hard to discern because the deceived will recognise and reject it if it was made plain to them. The deceit sometimes offers even good proposal to deceive the person genuinely in need so its easy to deceive the deceived. Trust of people taken advantage of to deceive to create havoc as satan takes pleasure in sufferings of people affected.wp-1541628604178..jpg The devil comes to steal, kill, to destroy  but Jesus comes to give life even life more abundantly says John 10:10. The deceiver knows God has great love for HIS Children as Scriptures show. God is Spirit so those who love and God must do so in Spirit and Truth in Christ to direct, guide, strengthen and comfort people. The crafty deception of satan is packaged to deceit using wicked the evil spirits pretending to be friendly to deceive. The serpent of old, the devil aka satan deceives the whole world to cause confusion to rebel against God. So Eve said, “The serpent deceived her and affects the sin DNA in mankind. There is a cause and effect the deceiver drives to keep some people in captivity. The Bible presents satan as playing strategic role in deceiving people so they see God as a wicked father only waiting to punish or catch out His Children. As satan knows time is up so intensifies deceptions and misleads people to hate each other. The negative experiences of satan’s spiritual wickedness in high places to control the gullible people who don’t know God. So devil knows Bible and how God works better than believers who don’t study word of God like Bereans. People are given freewill to stop devil interfering their interest and well-being to test the spirits to see if they are from God.1541628137674605598922.jpg People must discern if plan or project is pleasing to God or if a decision is selfish and rebellious against God. Eventually, satan is bound by God not to deceive nations anymore says Revelations 20:1–3. The Lord God warns woe to deceivers who do not repent or forsake evil ways will face wrath of God to come during endtimes. There are many living stories about deceiver deceiving deceived but post is focussing on a few outstanding ones in the Bible. The Merciful Gracious LORD God forgives genuine repentance of all those who come to their senses to discover they were deceived. Jacob the deceiver who deceived father to take Esau’s Blessing. Gets deceived by his father in-law who swapped Leah for Rachel whom he loved. So Jacob worked for another seven years to get Rachel in addition to Leah despite a conflict over speckled animals. God’s Covenant with Abraham remained through Jacob’s sons who are the twelve tribes of Israel. The story of Jacob, whose name means to deceive or cheat; deceived his father, and later deceived by his sons that his son Joseph sold to Ishmaelites, died. The sibling rivalry caused brothers to hate Joseph for his dreams. Joseph survived to save his family during famine and years later moved to Canaan land promised to Abraham plus other territories. God is aware of the deceiver’s ploy to deceive the deceived that is why God forgives because they know not what they were doing. Jesus prayed on Cross of Calvary for all mankind to be forgiven from all sins. Thank God for Jesus and His Grace and Mercy.

11 TIPS FOR THE UNIVERSITY

1. Manage your workload

Kaylie Knowles, 24, studied at Nottingham Trent University, then did her PGCE at Derby University. She says staying on top of workload is crucial. “I got on just fine doing my undergrad at Trent, but my final year at Derby was a very stressful year leading me to four or five meltdowns across the year. “All I’d say is prioritise your workload and make sure you take a break when you feel the workload is getting too much. “

2. Plan a weekly budget

Mary O’Connell, 23, who did English literature at York University and an MA in Film Studies at King’s College London, recommends setting yourself a weekly budget. Don’t spend all your money on Freshers Week. If you haven’t really worked before uni then you may not have seen that much money in your account before. But remember that it’s still a loan that you need to be sensible with.Mary O'ConnellLearn to manage your loan as crucial. Plan a weekly budget. You can use an app to track your spending if you want to get an idea of how much you’re spending, because it’s something we usually underestimate.” Sian Reed, 25, studied marketing at Hull University, followed by an MA in sports journalism at Sheffield Hallam, agrees. “My first top tip would be learn to budget. I know it sounds all serious but just because your student loan has come in, doesn’t mean you should spend it all at once. “Just take half an hour or so to sit down and look at what money you have coming in and what you’re spending. “It might mean making some adjustments like boosting your income or reducing your spending (ask for a student discount everywhere, you’ll be surprised at the sort of places that offer it as they don’t always advertise) but it means you can live comfortably.”

3. Back up your work

Peter Rogers, 22, who graduated from York University last year, says it’s a good idea to back up your work in more than one place. We all gmail accounts through our university, so I used Google Drive to save everything which meant it was stored in the cloud. “One piece of advice would be to make sure you save different versions of a piece of work as you go along.Peter RogersPeter recommends back up your work in more than one place. For example, if writing an essay on French Revolution, save it as ‘French Revolution half’ at the halfway stage, and then again as a separate version three-quarters of the way through, etc. “That way if you do manage to delete a copy you will not have to rewrite from the beginning.”

4. Make use of first year

Peter also says that the first year can often be a little lighter academically than subsequent years, so it’s worth enjoying it. “If your first year doesn’t count towards your overall grade, make the most of the freedom that offers you,” he suggests. “I still look back and wish I had done a little less work (nobody asks me what grade I got in first year) and spent more time trying out activities, sports or just hanging out with friends. “Obviously the academic side is important but that really amps up in second and third year anyway.”

5. Choose your friends

Emmeke Megannety 21, a second-year journalism student at Nottingham Trent University, says it’s worth taking your time to find good friends. People starting uni need to remember that the people you meet in your first week will not necessarily be your friends for life.Emmeke MegannetyEmmeke, 21, says friendships take time to evolve don’t think you have to stick to people like glue because you haven’t met anyone else yet. “Throw yourself into activities and societies, get a job, strike up conversation with someone at the gym you’ll make so many friends throughout the year in the oddest of places. Mary recommends joining all societies that interest you. You don’t just want your uni friends to be people on your course and who you live with, join a society to make friends there,” she says. It’s a good way to socialise cheaply if you’re not a big drinker. It makes the uni experience more fulfilling.”

6. Look out for people

Sadly many students suffer with mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety. Recent statistics show 146 students took their lives in 2016.  Peter says it’s important to keep an eye on peers and ask searching questions. I was, and continue to be, regularly surprised at the number of people who would look and act fine outwardly but were actually really struggling. “I think the key is talking directly, especially with men. I know if I were just asked ‘How are you feeling?’ I’d probably just skirt around the question with a generic answer. “But if a friend asked ‘Do you think your mental health has been affected by….?’ we might be tempted to answer more honestly.”

7. Eat a balanced diet

Matt Broderick, 29, a graduate from Queens University Belfast, says a poor diet can affect your mood. “Learn to cook and go to class. I did neither of these things, or very, very little. “I spent all of my money on really unhealthy oven food or nasty takeaways and barely went to lectures. I didn’t realise at the time but was probably depressed because I was living in an awfully cold and dark house, eating dreadful food and only really leaving the house to go drinking with the odd class or lecture thrown in. I wish I could hit the reset button and go to every single lecture, do all of my readings, eat better and spend my time more wisely rather than drinking away my student loan.”

8. Cook on a budget

Picking up on the issue of food, Mary recommends learning how to cook on a budget. “Stop caring about brands just because you have them at home,” she advises. For example, if you’re making something like a bolognese then buy the ‘basics’ version of chopped tomatoes. It’s not an ingredient you need to have a special brand for – chopped tomatoes is chopped tomatoes.Sian ReedSIAN REED says it’s important to “stay true to yourself. “Tupperware is your friend: Cook food in bulk then freeze it in meal-sized portions.” Peter adds: “Like many students I didn’t really have anything other than rudimentary cookery skills before I went, and found learning to cook was reasonably enjoyable.”

9. Talk to friends/ family

Mary says keeping in touch with family and friends from back home is a good way of keeping loneliness at bay, and a good chance to speak openly about any problems. “Uni can be very lonely. Make sure you check in with your home friends who are also at uni and keep track of who might be having a hard time, and make sure you tell your friends if you find yourself struggling.”

10. Stay true to yourself

Sian’s top tip for university is “stay true to yourself.” Students living from home the first time without parent, “You don’t have to be extrovert to enjoy experience don’t feel obliged to go on all nights out because feel forced to regret in morning drinking or involved with the strangers who take advantage of you. “University seems to create a drinking culture so it’s okay if you’re not into it. Trust me, you will not be only non-drinker on campus if you do not join in. “If big personality, make most of student life safely but not, naively to cheapen your life in uni.”

11. REMEMBER: BE SAFE ON CAMPUS

Do not let in student stranger you met just because you feel lonely. Never let in anyone in your bedroom alone for coffee they may think you consent to sex by inviting them into your space. If they rape you people assume you asked for it by allowing them to follow you into your private personal space. If they tamper with your drink you may not be alert to resist them but still think you are in control. Protect yourself from suspicious friendships. Don’t be fooled by their kindness to let your guard down. As soon you are at the entrance of your place say goodbye OUTSIDE NO OFFER OF COFFEE inside. Go to sleep.

BEWARE MARRIED/RICHMEN

Beware men do not choose wife based on beauty and physical appearance only. Look beyond outer beauty into inner heart and seek God’s help to choose Godly wife in Jesus Name. If you have problems right from onset of the relationship from dating, courtship, engagement, wedding, barrenness, low sperm count, business collapse problem after another since meeting spouse you are under serious spiritual attack. And contending with spiritual husband and spiritual wife against physical marriage. Both partners may not realise spiritual husband and wife covenant in you from family working against you. And do not accuse and blame each other but rather seek deliverance immediately in Jesus Name to save you. Do not go to consult idol shrine or witch doctors because this makes problems worse. They dupe you, take all your money, you end up in debt, frustration, suicidal thoughts of a divorce spiritual spouse wants. Do not dismiss spiritual marriage as a delusion because the family initiates children in covenant ceremony dedicating the child to shrine demons. Those spirits entered and married them so are possessive, jealous and angry with a person taking away their wife from them. This is why they attack and destroy the marriages to send back the wife or husband to them. To ordinary human eyes a ritual bath or potion, perfumes, handkerchief, nail or hair cuts, incisions means a ‘protection’ from evil eyes. The truth is its initiation ritual connection’s kingdom of darkness strategy used for destruction.

Ignorance is a reason out of fear people run to the evil spirits causing problems to finish them. The evil spirit’s goal is make them have serial marriages and futile relationships with children to attack their family. This is the marriage initiated by psychics or fortune tellers, the spirit behind it is demons not Holy Spirit from God. They display pictures of Jesus to fool and seem spiritual but God warns against going to seek fortune tellers and necromancers for divination, marriage, future plans concerning your future life. It lasts for a short season but destruction starts unawares causing the fight affecting all relationship problems. God is author and finished of marriage so seek God if you want to marry and be faithful to your Godly spouse to protect your life for good success in life. As the devil roams about looking for people to target to ruin and kill through flirting or illicit affairs to disgrace victims. There is a real kingdom of darkness working against unsuspecting victims who are rich or married to destroy marriages to fight Godly homes. Some who are rich very proud of material wealth do not value God or Honour Him as the source of blessing. So think they made wealth themselves forgetting God is OWNER of all resources on earth show off so don’t respect their wives. Think that having numerous girlfriends or flashy cars is the sign of power. Do not realise they fall into human trafficking traps sets by devil to lure and destroy them. They see these physically beautiful women or handsome men but really sleeping with snakes and demons collecting their sperm and their riches through contact with agents of the devil into the marine world. Many rich men including politicians disgraced, fell due to seduction spirits sent with evil eye to lure them and ruin their progress. Most prostitutes seek strength and favour to attract rich clients through witchcraft. A minder takes to witch doctor invoke the spells, charms, sexy dressing, beads and perfumes, drinks, cigarettes and ensure exclusive regular customer is rich client under their spell. So a married man will fight at home with his wife so can never have intercourse with her again.

Such men become pawns in the marine kingdom unaware of the sources of the problems. A constant fight ensures, his wife “smells badly” to him due to charm against his marriage. The sperm is used in the marine kingdom to make slippers sold so all wearing it becomes initiated. A spiritual world exists beyond physical reality controlled by devil and demons. It is wise to pray everyday over family, food, clothes, material wealth bought as it may look ordinary and harmless but is lethal to harm people. Cover yourself and your family, business, home, wealth with BLOOD of Jesus. Be careful of types of drama or games watched influencing the mind and planting seed of seduction or rebellion against God Almighty. You may think you are exercising your free will or choice but evil spirits behind the scenes are spiritual wickedness in high places the Bible warned about. End time prophecies reveals satan is empowered to recruit rebellious people to kingdom of darkness to self destruct. So the real solution is entrust yourself and family under the protection of Almighty God. A belief in God in Christ is not pick and mix religion you fancy and live as you like. Your very life depends on God to save and deliver you in Jesus Name to preserve you in rapture alive to heaven and in the eternal life in God’s Kingdom. Be encouraged to seek pastors who help poor in troubled times to deliver, help you. A young soldier and treasurer in the army met a woman who used his sperm to charm and seduced him of the amount of N2:5million naira. As payday was due he squandered the salaries of the soldiers but came to his senses and was desperate so wanted to kill himself. Thank God he went to church, problem revealed by God to prophet Jeremiah. So people helped to payoff 2:5 million debt through the intervention of the Colonel in the army. He was given N2:1million for him and family to recover his losses. All these due to his adultery in search of pleasure. He learnt his lesson too so gone back to his wife and his 3 children after the mistress duped him. Vanity of vanity is the unstable spirit lurking in a person searching in vain for happiness outside God. The devil had set places to deceive people to think they are having innocent fun. Only to realise addicted to sex, pornography or substance abuse. The women or men used are victims because money earned by seduction is not allowed to be shared with loved ones, family, charity, church or support good causes. It is exclusively for vanity to buy houses for prostitution clothes to dress seductively, do make up and hair, drink expensive alcohol, to smoke and destroy themselves too. If they give the money to family or good causes giver and receiver die. You know now why such rich relatives cannot help you. So despite luring the wealthy rich married men have nothing to show for it after paying minder who lured and sent them into prostitution. End up with nothing but sickness, HIV, poor health or death. The devil is real so beware and seek the Face of God Almigthy to supply all your needs according God’s riches in heaven by Christ Jesus. Most victims are part of occult kingdom set up to produce such children who grow up to continue cycle of serving the devil unawares. So need serious deliverance to overcome the evil spirits invoked in them from birth that is destroying their lives to be set free as new creation in Jesus Name. So remain faithful in the Kingdom of God, serving God in Christ in Jesus Name in Spirit in Truth daily to the Glory of God.

A SOCIAL GOSPEL OF JESUS

the-new-evangelization-and-social-justice-6-638Jesus preached a social gospel typically to diverse audience of religious leaders, governors, media, officials, the masses, to reach their heart, mind, body, soul to relate with others on Godly terms. This theme King put in historical context as part of social justice to bring awareness to each other. Especially with regard to God’s superabundant human resources provided and entrusted to all as stewards. Reverend King, the prophet, theologian, scholar, preacher, pastor dwelt on these social gospel themes analysing society’s lifelong struggles for economic justice, empowerment of the poor working-class people of all colours. King described himself as “profound advocate of social gospel” who tried to teach the capitalist system not to put profit, property rights ahead of basic human rights demanded people have adequate food, education, housing, decent job, well paid income. His more revolutionary quest for social justice, society above racist poverty, prevention of war not celebrated as his peaceful civil rights movement. Martin Luther King Jr. emphasised there is no intrinsic difference between workers. And King told American Federation of Labour and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) an American important trade union in 1963, that skin colour, ethnicity must not divide those working for a living, he said. “Economic justice,” King said, required land so men must not take all the basic necessities to give luxuries to the few,” and “where all our gifts and resources are held not for ourselves alone but as instruments of service for the rest of humanity.” Same year, King called on President J. F Kennedy to honour emancipation of African-Americans from slavery in 100 years before. King said, a new freedom agenda is necessary. People gather at the end of the Poor People March on 19 June 19 1968 in Washington DC.This agenda was not only about civil rights so 28 August demonstration culminated in King’s “I Have a Dream” speech publicized 4th April Washington for Job Freedom. It was result of many years of organizing by black workers and their unions. In his speech, King said nations gave former slaves a “bad check” promise of freedom that did not materialize. And generations later, his dream is for equal rights for substantive change in people’s economic and social conditions. Though country’s adoption of Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act completed “first phase” of freedom movement King said. The “second phase” was for “economic equality” so everyone could have a well-paying job or basic level of income with decent levels of healthcare, education and housing. In October 1966, 100,000 copies of the booklet A Freedom Budget for All Americans, with introduction by King distributed by unions. Freedom Budget proposed a second New Deal to promote job growth of living wages for public spending on social goods. After 50 years since Martin Luther’s demand for equal human rights for all people, it is sad go say things have gotten worse. Although it is true that great strides are achieved since 50 years, some of these issues got worse for working classes. So many are suffering although they built the country and their labour, resourses or blood sacrificed as veterans to fight and defend country they do not receive the due entitlement. As a matter of fact society has shifted from human centred needs of Marlow’s hierarchy to selfish few depriving the majority. The divide of haves and have nots intensified and so many thousands now homeless and without food daily. It is scandalous tons of perfectly good food, clothes, items are thrown away instead of giving it to poor starving and dying daily. Government issued final warning to the businesses to report gender pay gap by midnight it emerged Conservative party did not plan to file its own figures until a day after the deadline. Amber Rudd, the minister for women and equalities as well as home secretary, said there was no excuse for businesses not to be transparent as deadline on Wednesday 4th approached warned them refusing to report is breaking law. Jesus-expulsa-vendilhoes-do-templo IMG_20180424_195818Those with 250 or more employees had until before midnight to meet the legal requirement to report a pay gap data to government or face enforcement action by Equality Commission. 50 years after Martin Luther King’s pleas for the social and economic system justice still society seems worse off. Jesus said the rich are getting richer while the poor get poorer due to greed of those in charge of God’s resources misallocated. Hardworking people are poorest dealing with lack of resources, hunger, poverty inspite of challenges keep their heads up high with dignity. Those in charge label them “lazy” underclass not worth same equal treatment. Those entrusted responsible to provide equally for them hurt them by their unfair policies. The world sees more wealth and more resources than ever before limited exclusively to those few privileged at the top. They ensure all their needs and luxurious wants met but despise other’s needs and refuse to provide for them. Many suffer and die needlessly because of such treatments and unfair policies. #Paymetoo women’s platform seeks justice from boardrooms exclusively run by men without realistic knowledge of women and family needs. Society is still run by draconian policies that treat women as inferior weaker sex not competent as male counterparts. So refuse to recognise great talents and the achievements of women globally in all spheres of life. Some men literally think paying women well diminishes power over them use pay gap to bully women. Interesting colleagues trained by same experts, graduates of same universities, employed by same company refuse to pay them equally because is male and other female. Gender is used to punish career women working twice to run the home, family and gender discrimination at work. 21st Century women in space contribute to all aspects of life. Behind every successful man is a woman and men need women’s input so pay well. It is important macho policies recognise a need to provide to help working-class children’s life chances and wellbeing as they are introducing policies actively to make their lives worse. Look at anti-welfare measures like cutting “in-work” benefits freezing housing and children’s benefits. So education system scrapped education maintenance grants, stripped school budgets so teachers are unable to afford paper for their pupils. Closure of local youth clubs and children’s centres as research from Barnardo’s this week finds funding to early-years children’s services has been cut by 50% in some areas since 2010. Families now choose between eating and buying medicines. social justice and the gospelPeople gather at the end of Poor People March on 19 June 1968 in Washington DC. Photograph: Arnold Sachs/AFP/Getty Images Before travelling to Memphis in 1968 to participate in garbage-workers’ strike King had been criss-crossing the country for weeks, promoting a multi-racial coalition to pressure Congress to reallocate money from Vietnam war to money for human needs. King called it Poor People’s Campaign so promoted an economic bill of rights for all Americans including five pillars of meaningful jobs at a living wage; a secure and adequate income; access to land; access to capital, for poor people, minorities; ability for ordinary people to play truly significant role in government. It was, King said, a “last ditch” effort to save America from the interrelated evils of racism, poverty and war. Historians constantly search for and reshape knowledge of the past, based on challenges faced in their own times. Public awareness focus on King’s “first phase” of the movement, for civil voting, rights, a plethora of scholarship sees King as inconvenient hero who led a movement beyond civil rights to more fundamental economic or social change.JIMEverything decent and fair in American life is under threat, King said in his time so all must do well to remember a fight for economic justice as King’s dream for better encompassing American society. Remembering King’s economic justice, broadly conceived helps understand the relevance of his legacy today. It helps us to realize King’s moral discourse of the gap between “haves and the have-nots” from his role in labour movement and civil rights movements. Remembering eloquent man in the Lincoln Memorial in 1963, remembers King as man on the streets, sitting in jail cells, or as a man rousing workers at union conventions and on union picket lines. Remembered as nonviolent surrounded by a violent police, screaming mobs, and physically assaulted by white racists sometimes. It is essential all nations remember King’s crusade seeking justice and fairness for all alternatives to America’s exploitative racial capitalism. King is remembered as a pioneer helping to understand the agenda for modern times. Exploitative capitalism will come to an end as Bible warns in the book of Revelations.

£10,000:ALL AGE 25 CITIZENS

House keysIPPR says pay all 25-year-olds a £10,000 inheritance, thinktank said government could create a citizens’ wealth fund to address inequality. All UK-born citizens be given £10,000 “universal minimum inheritance” when they turn 25 to help address growing wealth inequality as thinktank proposed. Tax reforms and a selloff of assets including government’s stake in Royal Bank of Scotland to help create the citizens’ wealth fund worth £186bn by 2029/30, Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) said. Such a fund will give everyone stake in the economy and help young people invest in their futures. Through buying property and investing, education, starting business, according to report of IPPR Commission on Economic Justice. The fund could be large enough to pay all 25-year-olds as a one-off capital dividend of £10,000 from 2030. Report proposes capitalising fund uses the mixture of asset sales, capital transfers, new revenue streams, borrow amount for return reinvested in decade. These includes reformed wealth taxes as gift tax to replace inheritance tax and “scrip tax” of up to 3% requiring major businesses to issue equity to the fund. The authors propose national asset sales including RBS stake. IPPR on wealthiest tenth UK households own 44% nation’s wealth, least wealthy half of households own 9%. More than 70 governments around world’s sovereign wealth funds help alleviate poverty. Norway invested oil income sovereign wealth fund from 1990 now worth more than $1tn (£713bn). IPPR report claims UK’s revenues from North Sea oil if invested in a sovereign wealth fund in the 1980s, worth more than £500bn today. Carys Roberts, an IPPR senior economist, said: “Who owns wealth and who inherits wealth is more important increasingly so, as share of national income paid to people through wages declines. “A citizens’ wealth fund would enable all citizens to collectively own portion of our national wealth, to ensure everyone benefits from rising returns to capital, not just people who will inherit or who already own assets.” This grand noble idea on paper to help ALL 25 year olds tremendously good but exacerbates wealth gap even more given equally to All regardless of wealth. The rich gets richer by grant £10,000 pocket-money while deprived person gets a headstart. An average property is worth £160,000 to £500,000 depending on location beyond most 25 year olds so does this money bring required change? With most 25 year olds already heavily in debt with student loans, unemployed lives at home £10,000 borrowed wealth another ploy to dump national burden of debt on young people by a very rich wealthy few preserving and growing riches. The rich do not need this money as already provided for realistically it is hardworking citizens struggling to pay mortgages or choose to feed family is a major issue that needs attention. It is brilliant to help 25 years olds get up the property ladder but without the regular paid wages as article points out income depleting means repossessed property for the investors creating this scheme. It is really too good to be true so a rethink by this thinkthank is urgently required. Naive 25 years old will run after a “free” £10,000 pounds grant only to realise the catch years later after losing it all. So do not do these only to add more insults to injuries of people already suffering. Can alternative scheme ensure genuine resources used to pay good salaries so people earn money and live without such borrowed wealth on top of debts? Sure you can.
