JESUS ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN

Jesus is the ONLY WAY to Heaven but

such exclusive statement may confuse, surprise, or even offend, but it is true nonetheless. The Bible teaches that there is no other way to salvation than through Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” He is not a way, He is the ONE WAY, the ONE ONLY WAY despite reputation, achievement, special knowledge, or personal holiness, come to GOD through HIS Son Jesus. Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven for the reason Jesus was “chosen by God” to be the Saviour in 1 Peter 2:4. Jesus is the ONLY ONE to Who came down from heaven and returned there in John 3:13. He is ONLY Person Who lived a perfect human life in Hebrews 4:15. He is the ONLY Sacrifice for sin in 1 John 2:2; and Hebrews 10:26. He Alone fulfill the Law and the Prophets in Matthew 5:17. He is the ONLY Man to conquer death forever in Hebrews 2:14–15. He is the ONLY Mediator between God and man says 1 Timothy 2:5. He is the ONLY Man Eho God exalts to the highest place” in Philippians 2:9. Jesus spoke of Himself as the ONLY WAY to heaven in several places besides John 14:6. He presented Himself as word made flesh in John 1:1 of faith in Matthew 7:21–27. He said His words are life in John 6:63. He promised those who believe in Him have eternal life in John 3:14–15). He is Shepherd gate of the sheep in John 10:7; bread of life in John 6:35, the resurrection and the life in John 11:25. No one rightly claim those titles. The apostle’s preaching focus on the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Peter, speaking to the Sanhedrin, proclaimed Jesus as the ONLY WAY to heaven: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no OTHER NAME under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” in Acts 4:12. Paul, told the synagogue in Antioch, Jesus is their Saviour: “So know through Jesus’ the forgiveness of sins proclaimed to you, through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin in Acts 13:38–39. John, wrote to Church that the Name of Christ is basis of our forgiveness: “I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins are forgiven on account of His Name” in 1 John 2:12. No one but Jesus forgives sin so we forgive others in the Name of Jesus. Eternal life in heaven is made possible ONLY through Christ. So Jesus prayed, “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you the ONLY TRUE GOD and Jesus Christ, whom you sent” in John 17:3. To receive God’s free gift of salvation, we look to Jesus and Jesus Alone. We must trust in Jesus’ death on the Cross as our payment for sin and in His resurrection. “Righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe in Romans 3:22. At one point in Jesus’ ministry, many of the crowd were turning their backs on Him and leaving in hopes of finding another saviour. Jesus asked Twelve, “Do you want to go away too?”in John 6:67. Peter’s replied, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the WORDS of ETERNAL life so we believe and know, you are the Holy One of God” in John 6:68–69. Share Peter’s faith eternal life resides ONLY in Jesus Christ. Have you made a decision for Christ because of what you read here? 7000 PEOPLE DIDN’T BOW

Mount Carmel in Israel is like long ridge running from north-west to south-east, approximately 20 miles long. Nazareth, is about 9 miles away from the foothills of the mountain by Galilee. Aerial view of Mount Carmel is west from the east showing a rugged plateau. And an aerial photo of present day Mount Carmel, with the city of Haifa. All true ministry is birthed in prayer.” Are you among the 7,000 who haven’t bowed? All through Bible, the number seven is equated with God’s eternal purpose. The number of 7,000 God quoted to Elijah denotes those who make up HIS remnant. People God sets aside for HIMSELF can be 7000 or 7 million, wholly given to HIM. The characteristics of these remnants are: three defining marks:

  1. An unchangeable commitment to cling to the LORD. The Remnant believer made the single-minded choice to swim against tide of evil. The 7,000 in Elijah’s day stayed true in spite of Israel’s great falling away. Their society had gone mad with sensuality, family members or friends moved toward idolatry. In spite of powerful seductions of the age, the 7,000 able to stand against the tide, endured shame, deprivation and persecution, with no Bibles, preaching or fellowship with outsiders. The more vile their society, the more righteous they grew. Elijah knew the masses were doubled-minded, wanting measure of God and world. He confronted them, saying, “How long will you hop between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow HIM if its baal, follow him in 1 Kings 18:21). Have you made your stand for Jesus? Maybe you’re afraid to break away from old crowd. You want Christ, but want some part of old life. I tell you, it won’t work. You’ll only get sucked back into your old ways. You can’t witness to sinners if you are drinking like them or laughing at their dirty stories. Paul warns, “Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing”s in 2 Corinthians 6:17. At some point, you make commitment, declaring, “I don’t care what others say or do. I am the LORD’s. And I won’t give in to the wicked spirit of this age.”
  2. A willingness to identify with poor.  Society’s trend is to associate with rich and successful, align yourself with suffering class. Like Obadiah, you may have measure of success or stature. Although a Godly man and governor in Jezebel’s house he determined to fear God alone. And he proved his heart was with poor by taking care of those 100 ragged, suffering prophets. Thank God for all believers who successfully Bless ministry by generous gifts yet love to identify with needs of the poor. God chooses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise or weak things of world to confound things mighty; base things of the world; things despised, God chose so no flesh should GLORY in HIS PRESENCE in 1 Corinthians 1:27-29. Many wealthy people in church of Jesus Christ are so few because Jesus said, Its hard for those with riches to enter into the Kingdom of God in Luke 18:24. It’s because few wealthy people willing to identify with despised of the world God has called and chosen. Several wealthy visitors enjoyed worship services at Times Square Church but didn’t want friends to know they attend there. Our services included too many poor, too many ethnics, too many unexpected things going on. Those people chose to attend more socially accepted churches. I think of dear woman in our church who passes out evangelistic tracts near offices. She speaks broken English, and doesn’t dress in latest styles. I met her on the street as the LORD prompted me to give her a small offering. When she saw the money in my hand, smiled and said, “Oh, no, I’ll bring my tithes tomorrow.” She thought I was reminding her to pay her tithe! Here, she already is doing LORD’s work, uppermost in her mind was to be at church to pay her tithe. She quickly added, “The LORD has kept me, pastor.” She is numbered among God’s remnant, and she probably doesn’t know it. I’ve overheard several well-dressed visitors to our church remark, “That woman gives a bad impression of the church. She’s poorly dressed, and she can hardly speak English.” I say to them, “If you want to be part of God’s holy remnant, you’d better want to be in this woman’s company here on earth. Otherwise, Jesus says you won’t be allowed to be with her in glory is already shining star here.”
  3. A reliance on hope. The 7,000 in Elijah’s time endured because of hope in coming day of deliverance. Today, the church’s blessed hope is the soon return of Jesus. With one trumpet blast, all wickedness will end. Our Lord will do away with all killings, all blatant perversions, all ethnic genocide. We evangelize, minister and work while it’s still day, all the while, live in the hope King Jesus is Coming. He’s bringing a new world with Him, where He’ll rule from His ETERNAL Throne. So does the three marks characterize you as part of God’s holy remnant? If so, God boast in Godgiven heart to focus wholly on God as HIS!”

MY LIFE AFTER UNIVERSITY

Kevin BrochMy life changed after university moving home, losing friends, broke unemployed after university. Kevin Broch left uni. with a short feeling of relief and a sense of achievement, followed by a long feeling of being lost. It’s the end of university and, if luck is on your side, you have had the best three years of your life. The nightlife was amazing; you’ve made lots of new, life-long friends, spending hours in the library on coursework and preparing for exams. Hopefully, this has paid off but what now? This is question many students ask themselves when they graduate but few realise adult life is about to come down on them like a tonne of bricks. When Kevin Broch graduated from Royal Holloway University of London, in 2015, was looking forward to leaving uni and beginning professional life. But, the feeling of hopefulness soon turned to helplessness.

‘Heartbroken’

Now a successful music producer, Kevin says teachers prepared him for leaving college and entering university – but when university comes to an end “no-one tells you what is next now it’s down to you. “I had short feeling of relief and a sense of achievement followed by long feeling of being lost,” he says. Many students say the final year of university tends to be the most stressful and that they can’t wait to hand in dissertations and be done with it.

Claire GambleClaire Gamble found it really hard to meet people or settle into new life after university

But leaving can feel like an anticlimax, and that unique feeling of excitement, stimulation and freedom that university provided can be hard to replace. Claire Gamble, 33, says: “I felt heartbroken moving out of my house on last day of university I couldn’t stop crying.” After four great years of living independently and making solid friends while studying at University of Sheffield didn’t know what was happening next. Claire is not alone. Loneliness seems to be common feature of graduation blues. Kayleigh Rattle, 31, graduated from Warwick University in 2008, says: “Never forgets indescribable loneliness felt leaving university. “And, actually, I try not to think about the experience too much today because it still triggers a wistfulness so palpable for a time that’s now passed, and happened a decade ago.”

New identity

Many students aren’t ready to say their goodbye to close companions when they all go home. University prepares young people for transition from adolescence into adulthood but not the realities of working life? Graduate employment rate stands at 82% according to the Office of National Statistics in 2017, so it takes time to secure a fulltime job. So after three years of relative freedom, hordes of students will probably find themselves packing their bags and trundling back home to their parents’ house. Kayleigh says: “I really struggled with that – having a curfew again, not being able to sleep in the same bedroom as my boyfriend, and, I felt, being treated like a child again.”

Kayleigh RattleKayleigh Rattle describes university as combination of indispensable relationships and learning

This feeling of stepping backwards can be an extra incentive to find a “proper job”. Carolyn Mumby, counsellor coach with British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, says: “The return home can feel like trying to squash yourself back into the shape of your previous self. “It can be challenging to maintain your autonomy. “You may be challenging autonomy of your parents and carers who have adjusted to life without you living at home. There is a renegotiation of roles and relationships. Sophie Phillipson, 27, felt “ovewhelmed” and “nervous” at the prospect of facing adult life. She went on to found the website HelloGrads, which offers skills to help ease the transition from education to working life. She says: “You come out with a good degree and then reality hits. And it’s quite difficult because you think you’re going to get a good job, if you don’t, you can become overwhelmed.” Emily Williams, 24, and a Sheffield Hallam graduate, took a job that was really disappointing. She says she used to walk to work every day and think: “How can I get slightly injured, not enough to be seriously hurt or die, but just enough so I don’t have to go to work?” She suggests people take time to find out what they want to do. “There is absolutely no shame in going back home and getting a job at your local supermarket whilst you figure out what your passions are,” she says. “Don’t feel like you should already know what you want to do.”

Julie and Sophie PhillipsonSophie Phillipson, and her mother, Julie, set up website HelloGrads to help other young people transition from university into adult working life

Sophie says: “There’s a lot more to consider than you first think – and nobody tells you. “Money is constantly on your mind and there is a huge pressure to succeed from your parents, even though they have the best intentions.”

‘Blagging it’

Student fees tripled in 2012 and Sophie believes this has a part to play in the pressure students place on themselves to succeed and make their degree “worth it.” Social media doesn’t help. “No-one posts the countless rejections they faced to get to their position,” Sophie says. But it isn’t all doom and gloom. Graduates are still likely to be employed than people with fewer qualifications. Claire says that although leaving university was tough, 12 years on she is settled, has a family of her own and a successful business. She believes young people shouldn’t expect working life to be like university. But should “embrace new challenges, because your next adventures are just beginning.” Emily seconds this and says: “No-one has a clue what they’re doing. People in their 30s tell me they don’t feel like proper adults yet. “Everyone is going with the flow and blagging it as they go.”

WE LOVE OUR BIG BODIES

We love our big bodies people call fat and able to do as much as we can by our talents and abilities. We work so hard to accomplish excellence in our fields of expertise yet our size seems to matter to some people more than getting to know us. We are ordinary people doing extraordinary things so enjoy life as much as possible. We decided to speak out on behalf of the people fatshamed to be miserable or to spend their whole life trying to be someone they are not. Some develop anorexia and bulimia by trying to be slim and control their weight. In the extreme cases lost their lives due to pressure to be stereotypical average size whatever that means. Magazine, TV, media, entertainment industry portray an unrealistic image of the majority of women. Young people look up to such images so refuse to eat properly. Photographer Alice Zoo speaks to six women on body positivity and fat activism to support people who face abuse daily go educate the public.

COURTNEY, 24, GRIMSBY

@bodypositivebelle

“I’ve been big from a young age. I was 10, I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid, so each year I’ve put on more weight. I was always really active, so it was strange. New lumps and bumps formed that I didn’t know what to do with. I was bullied a lot throughout my school years I hated my body absolutely hated it. It really affected my mental health. When I was in college, I went on a big, long-term diet and lost five stone. I was a lot slimmer though I was big but I realised I wasn’t a better person, I wasn’t beautiful, I wasn’t amazing. I was still same person, but a lot less happy. Then I discovered Instagram. I remember seeing the first girl that used a body positive hashtag and I thought she looked amazing. I remember seeing the first girl’s body positive hashtag so I thought she looks amazing. But one night someone commented on all of my pictures saying I was fat and looked like someone from Star Wars. I messaged her and asked her why she was doing it. Why she found it fun to hurt someone like that. She replied, and later admitted that she had hang-ups about her own body. She said she felt fat. It made me think that often people are just pushing their own insecurities out. Someone will look at me and think: ‘I don’t want to be that size, I wouldn’t be happy that size, so why should you be happy when you’re fat?’ It makes me sad to think about people struggling so much they think the only way to make themselves feel better is to put someone down. That’s not the way. You can’t be comparing yourself to other people. I know it’s not easy, but the sooner you start to see yourself, how great you are, the better. You won’t need to judge someone by their looks.

ENAM, 23, BIRMINGHAM

@enamasiama

“I love the way I look and feel, because I’m comfortable, don’t feel any different from anyone else. I wake up and see myself as this normal person. I always tell people that I love my belly, I love my boobs. These squidgy parts might be seen as fat to someone else, but to me it’s just comfortable. There’s no-one out there who’s going to tell you that you’re not beautiful when you’re fat, simple as.

Find those who treasure and appreciate you and tell others how good they make you feel. Don’t be a person who always demoralises someone, or always being judgmental, because you have flaws. All have things they need to work on body.

“I have been waiting to be thin most of my life – to lose weight. I’ve put a lot of things on hold. When a kid growing up in Poland, I was quite sickly with upper throat infections and had to go to places we called sanatoriums to get better. Every time I went to one, they would put me on a low-calorie diet. They were always saying that I had to lose weight. Nowadays, when I look at photos from childhood, I don’t see anything wrong. I wasn’t skinny, but I wasn’t fat. But I was made to feel that there was something wrong. A few years ago, I started feeling a growing sense of anger so consuming a lot of feminist blogs and podcasts, and they talked about body positivity and self-love. I got to point where I thought, ‘There’s nothing wrong with the way I look, there’s nothing wrong with the way anyone looks. I’m just going to live my life.’ I stopped waiting to buy nice clothes, I just bought the clothes that fitted me. I started going on holiday. I started wearing a swimsuit and going swimming, which I always used to love when I was a kid. Now my attitude is:
‘Don’t like what you see look elsewhere else!’ N
o longer trying to change myself to fit society so trying to change society so it can fit me. Body positivity is not for fat people or skinny people it’s for everyone. Body positivity is the freedom that comes with being able to be happy with yourself. It gives you so much time to do other things, to travel, to think, to write, to make friends without having to worry about how you look all the time. Everyone could use a bit of body positivity in their life.”

MERCEDEZ, 28, LONDON / CHICAGO @missmermaidezpublic

“I was on a flight recently and I asked for a seat belt extender, I’m totally comfortable asking for – it doesn’t bother me. I was told I would have to pay for it. I said, ‘No thanks’, and they just ignored it, so I went without a seat belt from London to Morocco and back again. People think being fat is our fault. I struggled with not feeling desirable as a teenager. I thought I would never find a partner, that nobody would love me in the body I had. I look back at the time where I hated myself the most and I’m like – I was so cute. Why would anyone think these things? I do feel sensitive about desirability, through relationships and especially the way men have treated me as disposable. But I know that I’m hot. I know that I’m a worthy human being so it has nothing to do with my size. I know my body is some people’s greatest fear, to confront that is uncomfortable. To confront me being happy and living life and feeling healthy whatever that means threatens people’s desires to fit into beauty norm. I think it scares people you exist in the way you haven’t been told you can.”

TARA, 30, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

@fatandfab88

“Sometimes being fat is awesome, and sometimes it’s difficult. Spaces aren’t designed for larger bodies. And public transport is a nightmare. You need two seats on an plane. But a big body has just as much right as a smaller body.I think as I’ve got older, I just care less. Or I care more about myself and less about what’s expected of me. Being fat feels rebellious. Being fat and loving yourself is something completely different. I used to hate it. I wouldn’t eat. I wanted my skin to be lighter, so when I was in primary school, cover myself in talcum powder. Now, of course, I realise there’s nothing wrong with me. It would help if there were fat dolls out there for kids. Dolls like Barbie, have an unattainable shape. For everyone – of any size, race, whatever it’s not manageable. As I’ve got older, I’ve grown into my body. That’s the best way to say it. It kind of grew on me. When I finally became happy with where I was, when I stopped always trying to improve, that made a big difference. My partner helped loads as well. People think that if you’re fat then you can’t be healthy. You can be really big, and not as healthy as you should be. But then you’re happy, so it’s about weighing up what’s more important. When I’m smaller, I’m a state. I’m a happy size, and a healthy size, for all of me. For my mental health and my physical health, which are almost the same thing.”

SHARON, 30, LONDON

“When I was a kid, I didn’t feel happy in myself. I felt that I was ugly and my self-worth was really low bullied a lot. I developed and came out of myself a bit in my later teens. But it wasn’t until I found out about fat acceptance and fat positivity that I really came into my own. I was able to start looking at my self-worth as being more than whether or not I’m aesthetically pleasing to wider society. Now, some days I think I’m beautiful, other days I don’t. I have the knowledge that when things aren’t great, I can actually break it down and think OK Sharon, it’s not because you’re fat, it’s not because of you, it’s because of society’s impression of you.’ Because you’ve absorbed so many images from the media. There’s nothing wrong with you, it’s just the way that you’ve been made to feel. I’m a lot more in control of how I feel about myself. Fat activism is liberating fat people from social norms, and the discrimination and negativity that comes alongside that. We want society to accept us as human beings whose worth is not defined by weight, appearance or health. The biggest thing is to not make assumptions about why fat people are fat, or that they’re unhealthy. Just ask us. Ask us how we feel about our bodies. Be open-minded.”

PASTOR RISES FROM DEATH

monthly-180918-1As Jesus rose from death so resurrected a pastor beaten and killed with his body left in a ditch in forest. He miraculously resurrected during the last rites to bury him as all hope was lost. Tilak, a church leader from rural India, was dead. Some of Hindu neighbours complained to a local group of violent extremists Tilak brainwashed villagers to pollute their minds with Christian faith by leading 40 families to Jesus. The extremist group kidnapped Tilak, and when he refused to deny his faith in Christ, they beat him and tortured him. Finally, he collapsed, had no pulse, Tilak was gone. Christian families from Tilak’s village found his body and brought him home. They laid him out in a hut, and people gathered to pay their last respects. Suddenly started to move, his eyes opened Tilak is alive! No one could believe it. Some militants who attacked Tilak were present when he came back to life so they must have been the most shocked of all. They knew what they had done to Tilak. They had tied him up and beaten him with sticks until he had bloody wounds all over his body. Then they made him crawl up a mountain, still beating him with their sticks to force him forwards. When Tilak had taken his last breath they sent for the village doctor to confirm he was dead. Finally, they threw his body in a ditch. There was no way he could have survived. And yet, here he is alive! As Tilak woke up, he could hear people saying, “It was because he believed in Jesus.” God is working in truly amazing ways in India. Countless stories of many believers coming to faith in Jesus Christ through miraculous healings. And the courageous church leaders like Tilak take the hope of the gospel to even the most isolated and hostile communities. But wherever God is at work, there is opposition and powers standing against the Church in India. Some believe being a Hindu is Indian identity so attacks the other faiths, militant Hindu nationalist group linked with BJP; stated they want India rid of Christians and Muslims by the end of 2021. So violent attacks take place against Christians by extremist group linked with some leading political party trying to wipe out the church, it isn’t surprising Christians in India are facing horrific levels of persecution. So about 24,000 Christians were physically attacked last year because of their faith. India is number 11 on the 2018 World Watch List, annual ranking of the 50 countries where Christians face most extreme persecution, its highest ever position. Lust for violence deadens the senses, damages the soul, dangerous, thrill seeking violence blood lust on TV regularly watched in movies or played in computer games desensitized those addicted from innocent age gratified by violent entertainment. Effect of violence viewing habits deaden senses in a way to make them treat humans as objects. It explicit violence grown up with that makes deadened senses, accustomed to shock and horror not afraid to OFFEND GOD who will judge them. The Bible in Romans says they are in error thinking a violence is for God. Book of proverbs warns against enticed violence in Bible.

  • Don’t envy violent or choose their ways in Proverbs 3:31.
  • They eat bread of wickedness and drink wine of violence Proverb 4:17.
  • A violent person lures neighbour on a path not good in Proverbs 16:29.

IMG_20180922_192908Bible commands against violence out of blood lust. Christians, oppose violence because of FREEWILL choice given by God to all decide themselves to make up their own mind without pressure or fear to accept Jesus. The line between virtual and real life violence so blurred  thought of hate action is normalised as a macho powerful domination not evil against a fellow human being. Church requires a childhood education to cure violence in entertainment and freedom of choice to believe in God. Gideon’s idol was asked to deal with change of belief to serve God so people not to intervene for their idol in the Bible. Extremists are stepping up efforts to rid India of the Christians needing intervention from God. Those working through local churches and partners in India since 2000, is extensive but plan a double impact to extend outreach to all corners of India in next two years. Your prayers and long-term support helps to make God’s plan reality to show powers Biblical stand of the Church’s GREATER POWER of Jesus. Gospel is preached to ALL nations according to Acts 1:8, all disciples’ of God must preach the Gospel to whole world. God orders believers to preach or demands blood of an unsaved deprived of Gospel by those who refuse to preach GOSPEL in Ezekiel 3:33. God’s Covenant made with Abraham includes all nations belonging to Jesus the Light of the world of all nations. Resurrection of Jesus derailed those who subdued the Gospel to changed everything. So whole world is being renewed in a New earth under God coming to live in Israel. The entire world is blessed through Jesus’ salvation plan freely given to all who accept God’s gift of forgiveness of sins.  The Gospel message of Jesus life, death and resurrection is to be preached to all nations as God recreates the New earth by grafting in all Gentiles, all people of all nations with the Jews together. The doors to God’s Kingdom is open to the whole world to all who trust and call on the Name of Lord Jesus are saved. God’s family includes all the tribes, cultures, and languages centred around Jesus to reverse the curse of sin. The Holy Spirit in John 16:7-11 helps believer to know God’s punishment concerning evil sins, and righteousness and judgment of all nations on earth. One expects a miracle of resurrection to stir up faith to change the stony hearts to flesh to accept Jesus. Instead the miracle of the pastor raised from death, Tilak’s troubles werent over as a year later militants who attacked him first time threatened to kill entire family if they didn’t leave village. Tilak left village with family at once so not to suffer same extreme torture a year ago, didn’t want same for his family. So they carried absolutely nothing with only had the clothes worn. About six hours later arrived in village in another state; we believed we would be safe there.” By God’s grace, met a man there who heard Tilak preaching and had come to faith. Despite having very little a man offered to share his home with Tilak’s family. gideonssacrificedJust as God sent HIS angel to intervene and help Gideon defeat the enemy so God intervenes supernaturally to save HIS people. Thank God for the hut with one small room to preserve your lives in Jesus Name covered by the blood of Jesus. A bedsheet like curtain in middle of room and family using half of a room divided by curtain for sleeping in night so family uses other half is still miracle. To stay and share whatever in a house with both families is by grace of God to endure. Tilak smiles as he says, “He was a poor man with a big heart.” Another year has passed since then, and the two families are still sharing hut and doing what they can to help each other but even between them, they have very little. Your support and prayers enable partners to provide practical help. But Tilak’s family need more than just help to survive. Tilak says, “It’s a few years, traumatized so not have courage to talk to anyone in the new village or to share gospel.” A Biblical persecution survival training is helping families like Tilak’s to recover from persecution experience to better prepare for persecution they may face in future. It’s a combination of teaching from the Bible, teaching on the Indian constitution and Christians’ legal rights, and sharing testimonies of other persecuted believers to show that they are not alone. Tilak says, persecution survival training experience changes in hearts and minds to keep reminding of the things I learned in the seminar, that God loves them so will always stands by them. God always has a plan for to help persecute people through the partners. God uses prayers and support of people to show church family in India that God has a plan for them not forgotten them. Tilak says, thanks everyone who helped to pray for them and God will increase their blessings.” God rules the world by prayers of His saints as prayer is power used to conquer satan. Through prayer the Church on earth accesses POWER of God in heaven. Stand with persecuted church families in prayer because truly prayer is powerful instrument sharper than a two-edged sword. Send request to whole church to pray for persecuted church families around the world. Hear and share stories of faith and courage from the church in India and stand with them in prayer. The Lord Jesus warns of persecution like days of Nero believers literally made a long queue inviting the torturers to fastback their journey into heaven to be in PRESENCE of God. The Bible says FEAR God who kills soul and body and punishes in hell fire. All who die in Christ live eternal resurrected life with God FOREVER. So to love all people because God is LOVE and Jesus said Love your neighbour as love yourself.

11 TIPS FOR THE UNIVERSITY

1. Manage your workload

Kaylie Knowles, 24, studied at Nottingham Trent University, then did her PGCE at Derby University. She says staying on top of workload is crucial. “I got on just fine doing my undergrad at Trent, but my final year at Derby was a very stressful year leading me to four or five meltdowns across the year. “All I’d say is prioritise your workload and make sure you take a break when you feel the workload is getting too much. “

2. Plan a weekly budget

Mary O’Connell, 23, who did English literature at York University and an MA in Film Studies at King’s College London, recommends setting yourself a weekly budget. Don’t spend all your money on Freshers Week. If you haven’t really worked before uni then you may not have seen that much money in your account before. But remember that it’s still a loan that you need to be sensible with.Mary O'ConnellLearn to manage your loan as crucial. Plan a weekly budget. You can use an app to track your spending if you want to get an idea of how much you’re spending, because it’s something we usually underestimate.” Sian Reed, 25, studied marketing at Hull University, followed by an MA in sports journalism at Sheffield Hallam, agrees. “My first top tip would be learn to budget. I know it sounds all serious but just because your student loan has come in, doesn’t mean you should spend it all at once. “Just take half an hour or so to sit down and look at what money you have coming in and what you’re spending. “It might mean making some adjustments like boosting your income or reducing your spending (ask for a student discount everywhere, you’ll be surprised at the sort of places that offer it as they don’t always advertise) but it means you can live comfortably.”

3. Back up your work

Peter Rogers, 22, who graduated from York University last year, says it’s a good idea to back up your work in more than one place. We all gmail accounts through our university, so I used Google Drive to save everything which meant it was stored in the cloud. “One piece of advice would be to make sure you save different versions of a piece of work as you go along.Peter RogersPeter recommends back up your work in more than one place. For example, if writing an essay on French Revolution, save it as ‘French Revolution half’ at the halfway stage, and then again as a separate version three-quarters of the way through, etc. “That way if you do manage to delete a copy you will not have to rewrite from the beginning.”

4. Make use of first year

Peter also says that the first year can often be a little lighter academically than subsequent years, so it’s worth enjoying it. “If your first year doesn’t count towards your overall grade, make the most of the freedom that offers you,” he suggests. “I still look back and wish I had done a little less work (nobody asks me what grade I got in first year) and spent more time trying out activities, sports or just hanging out with friends. “Obviously the academic side is important but that really amps up in second and third year anyway.”

5. Choose your friends

Emmeke Megannety 21, a second-year journalism student at Nottingham Trent University, says it’s worth taking your time to find good friends. People starting uni need to remember that the people you meet in your first week will not necessarily be your friends for life.Emmeke MegannetyEmmeke, 21, says friendships take time to evolve don’t think you have to stick to people like glue because you haven’t met anyone else yet. “Throw yourself into activities and societies, get a job, strike up conversation with someone at the gym you’ll make so many friends throughout the year in the oddest of places. Mary recommends joining all societies that interest you. You don’t just want your uni friends to be people on your course and who you live with, join a society to make friends there,” she says. It’s a good way to socialise cheaply if you’re not a big drinker. It makes the uni experience more fulfilling.”

6. Look out for people

Sadly many students suffer with mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety. Recent statistics show 146 students took their lives in 2016.  Peter says it’s important to keep an eye on peers and ask searching questions. I was, and continue to be, regularly surprised at the number of people who would look and act fine outwardly but were actually really struggling. “I think the key is talking directly, especially with men. I know if I were just asked ‘How are you feeling?’ I’d probably just skirt around the question with a generic answer. “But if a friend asked ‘Do you think your mental health has been affected by….?’ we might be tempted to answer more honestly.”

7. Eat a balanced diet

Matt Broderick, 29, a graduate from Queens University Belfast, says a poor diet can affect your mood. “Learn to cook and go to class. I did neither of these things, or very, very little. “I spent all of my money on really unhealthy oven food or nasty takeaways and barely went to lectures. I didn’t realise at the time but was probably depressed because I was living in an awfully cold and dark house, eating dreadful food and only really leaving the house to go drinking with the odd class or lecture thrown in. I wish I could hit the reset button and go to every single lecture, do all of my readings, eat better and spend my time more wisely rather than drinking away my student loan.”

8. Cook on a budget

Picking up on the issue of food, Mary recommends learning how to cook on a budget. “Stop caring about brands just because you have them at home,” she advises. For example, if you’re making something like a bolognese then buy the ‘basics’ version of chopped tomatoes. It’s not an ingredient you need to have a special brand for – chopped tomatoes is chopped tomatoes.Sian ReedSIAN REED says it’s important to “stay true to yourself. “Tupperware is your friend: Cook food in bulk then freeze it in meal-sized portions.” Peter adds: “Like many students I didn’t really have anything other than rudimentary cookery skills before I went, and found learning to cook was reasonably enjoyable.”

9. Talk to friends/ family

Mary says keeping in touch with family and friends from back home is a good way of keeping loneliness at bay, and a good chance to speak openly about any problems. “Uni can be very lonely. Make sure you check in with your home friends who are also at uni and keep track of who might be having a hard time, and make sure you tell your friends if you find yourself struggling.”

10. Stay true to yourself

Sian’s top tip for university is “stay true to yourself.” Students living from home the first time without parent, “You don’t have to be extrovert to enjoy experience don’t feel obliged to go on all nights out because feel forced to regret in morning drinking or involved with the strangers who take advantage of you. “University seems to create a drinking culture so it’s okay if you’re not into it. Trust me, you will not be only non-drinker on campus if you do not join in. “If big personality, make most of student life safely but not, naively to cheapen your life in uni.”

11. REMEMBER: BE SAFE ON CAMPUS

Do not let in student stranger you met just because you feel lonely. Never let in anyone in your bedroom alone for coffee they may think you consent to sex by inviting them into your space. If they rape you people assume you asked for it by allowing them to follow you into your private personal space. If they tamper with your drink you may not be alert to resist them but still think you are in control. Protect yourself from suspicious friendships. Don’t be fooled by their kindness to let your guard down. As soon you are at the entrance of your place say goodbye OUTSIDE NO OFFER OF COFFEE inside. Go to sleep.
