God’s Still Small Voice heard by Elijah in troubled times helped him to make the necessary decision to bring changes to the whole nation of Israel and himself. Rumbling earthquake noises preceded the fires announcing God’s Presence. To hear God’s voice requires listening to a still small voice. Almighty God is often perceived as talking in an exaggerated hyped high pitched thunderous voice of magnitude proportionate to His Size. It is surprising God chose to speak in that still small voice. This means we are to hear God during the quiet and the still moments of life too.
