The April 2018 full moon will be seen at its best early in the morning on Monday April 30 in the UK. It will appear from 01:58am but spotted on April 29 after sunset. This moon is known as the Pink Moon because of the the type of flower that blooms at that time. It is called the pink moon because the pinkish colour of the bright moon over skies reflects in the appearance. The moon’s name from pink wildflowers in the US and Canada in early spring is in season. This moon is known as Egg Moon due to the spring being egg-laying season. Some call it the Fish Moon because it is time shad swim upstream with this moon. After the Pink Moon in next month is another next one called the Flower Moon in May 2018.
Extraordinary discovery by eagle-eyed scholar identified the shadowy outlines of passages from Bible behind eighth century manuscript of the Qur’an. This is evidence of a recorded palimpsest in which a Christian text has been effaced to make way for the Islamic text. French scholar Dr Eléonore Cellard was looking for images of a palimpsest page sold a decade earlier by Christie’s when she came across the auction house’s latest catalogue, which included fragments from a manuscript of the Qur’an which Christie’s dated to eighth century AD or second century of Islam. Scrutinising the image, she noticed that, appearing faintly behind the Arabic script, were Coptic letters. She contacted Christie’s, and they managed to identify the Coptic text as coming from the Old Testament’s Book of Deuteronomy part of the Torah and the Christian Old Testament. This is important discovery for the history of the Qur’an and early Islam shows the cultural interactions between different religious communities, said Cellard who is attached to the College de France. “It’s extraordinary said Christie’s specialist Romain Pingannaud. “Once you know it’s there, you can only see it, it becomes so obvious but missed at the beginning. It’s fascinating, particularly because it’s the example where you have an Arabic text on top of non-Arabic text. And even more fascinating it is on top of passages from the Old Testament … It shows the contact between communities in first centuries of Islam; it’s very relevant.” So Christie’s, is offering the fragments for auction with a guide price of £80,000-£120,000 on Thursday. The manuscript is likely to have been produced in Egypt, as home to the Coptic community, at the time of the Arab conquest. It said these fragments “resonate with the historical reality of religious communities in Near East and as an invaluable survival from the earliest centuries of Islam.” While the writing style of Qur’an scribe dates it to around the eighth century or early ninth century, its not possible to identify how much older original Coptic writing is although the formation of the letters means it is unlikely to be written earlier than the seventh century, according to Pingannaud. “Carbon 14 testing would date only the material, not the writing, but it’s quite destructive and folios are too thin,” he said. Qur’anic palimpsests extremely rare according to Christie’s, with only handful previously recorded, not copied above a Christian text. Other examples of Qur’anic palimpsests of two leaves from a seventh-century Hijazi Qur’an is copied above an earlier version of the Qur’an. “We think this is because the Qur’an is an important text although vellum was very expensive the Qur’an was always written on the new material so they use new material,” said Pingannaud. It was, “quite common in the Byzantine and Greek worlds to have palimpsests” he added. “Parchment is very strong, it doesn’t suffer too much it’s sensitive to humidity but very solid,” he said. “At the time it was erased the parchment was probably like new and it’s with centuries passing ink sank into parchment provides an image seen.”
God’s passionate love requires marital affection and intimate attention beyond the highest quality of human love. God’s love still needs to be embraced as given to believers to indulge in intimate love as the bride of God. Human marriages are celebrated with pomp and grandeur to impress the guests to have something to talk about forever. Preparations are made as families become preoccupied with all exquisite details for perfection. Until the day of a wedding the impeding ceremony takes the priority top spot of all activities, projects, resources, funds, communication, travel plans, visits to and fro for preparation. The details are often checked again and again to ensure nothing is forgotten, overlooked, missed out on. Many people involved help in various ways until that special day all the people meet together to celebrate. And yet despite all that goes into the process of preparing it is only a means to a long-term marriage itself. A couple live together to consummate the marriage and produce children if they want to do so. Without physical intimacy marriage is dissolved if a spouse feels neglected so is spiritually marriage. The Covenant marriage with God’s bride is similarly compared to first love deep relationship of affection, devotion and attention. The honeymoon stage of relationship means couple joined at hip literally do things together. Both cannot stand being apart for even few moment’s separation from each other. Continues calling, texting or meeting as quickly as possible and back to work. God’s reminds bride to prepare as the bridegroom is coming quickly. A bride knows exact day set so prepares for a wedding day. Unlike earthly brides groom “don’t tell the bride” TV program, God is ONE who prepared venue, plans and organised everything to surprise the bride. The bride is told to be ready day or night for the marriage supper of the Lamb of God Jesus Christ. The bride is told to be ready joyfully waiting for the groom to arrive. So question is does the bride feel ready to meet her groom? Is there joyful looking forward to the groom’s arrival or wants other ‘more important’ things in life like, eating, drinking, buying, selling being married and given in marriage as world does. It seems this life though sad, miserable or full of challenges is preferred to God’s plans for humanity. The love of Jesus is misunderstood so some ignore him but those who accept Jesus take Him for granted. Doing mundane routines in His Name yet missing the spiritual intimate of love celebration with His bride. The church expresses love publicly however God demands private connection love with His bride to be reciprocated. Love is two-way street of giving and receiving so God wants to feel loved by His bride too. It is exhausting to shower affection, gifts and love on a spouse who ignores you completely and shows no love to you even though verbally says so. In the same way church bride of God needs to let God into the most intimate spiritual love of expressing adoration, fellowship with God in a personal level.
A team of researchers from Loma Linda University have revealed that eating the dark chocolate with a 70 per cent cocoa content has positive effects on the stress level, mood, memory and immunity. Dr Lee Berk, who led the study, said: “For years, we looked at influence of dark chocolate on neurological functions from the standpoint of sugar content that more sugar makes people happier. This is first time we looked at impact of large amounts of cocoa in doses of small regular-sized chocolate bar in humans over short or long periods of time and are encouraged by the findings. The studies show higher concentration of cocoa has more positive impact on cognition, memory, mood, immunity or other beneficial effects. Researchers carried out two studies to test the effect of eating dark chocolate. In a first study, the team looked at the impact of eating 70 percent cocoa in chocolate on human immune system, and found the treat set off cascade of reactions in turn reduced inflammation. A second study analysed brain health benefits of eating the dark chocolate, and found snack enhanced neuroplasticity in turn boosted memory. Team suggests benefits lie in a chemical flavonoid found in cocoa, plan to carry out follow-up studies to understand the mechanism behind these effects. A dark chocolate made from cocoa plant means it contains many of the health benefits of dark vegetables. These benefits from flavonoids which act as antioxidants.Endorphins bind receptors in the brain leading to feelings of euphoria, like the kind joggers get from runner’s high. The dark chocolate is a top dietary source of tryptophan amino acid like a serotonin neurotransmitter of happiness positive mood. Health benefits of chocolate often endorsed by Reader’s Digest and others recommend eating the dark chocolate for health wellness. This dark chocolate stimulates the production of endorphin chemicals in the brain to create feelings of pleasure. Dark chocolate contains the serotonin antidepressant that elevates mood,” says Scritchfield. Flavanols are believed to play a role in chocolate’s mood enhancing effects. Dark chocolate benefits your brain to improve memory for good moods. Even the single doses of high-flavanol dark chocolate shown to improve performance of cognitive tests including memory test in healthy adult. Contentment is noticed in just 30 Days as new study reveals the dark chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa benefits mood so reduces anxiety. Cocoa benefits eaters due to the root compound called polyphenol shown to positively improve mood and enhance calmness. And those without any clinical depression, anxiety, mood swings gain good mood boost.
As it was in days of Noah preservation of animal species to be done by modern scientists by DNA genetic data for future posterity. The team of 24 scientists from around the globe are hoping to collect and store genetic codes of 1.5 million species on Earth in a move to “revolutionise understanding of DNA.” The codes will be taken from a plethora of animals, plants and fungi. The £3.4 billion project can be used by scientists to discover more about evolution and how better to treat the environment. The library, created by the Smithsonian Institution, is being described as “most ambitious project in history of modern biology.” Aim of BioGenome Project as it is dubbed will be used for innovations in medicine, agriculture, conservation among other things. Only 0.2 percent of life on Earth has been sequenced. John Kress from Smithsonian Institution told The Times: “We will build a complete library of life that we can sample and delve into for whatever purpose. “We can use it for improving environments and ourselves, and revolutionising our understanding of the evolution of life.”Only 0.2 percent of life on Earth been sequenced. Researchers wrote in study published in Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences Increasing our understanding of Earth’s biodiversity and responsibly stewarding resources among the crucial scientific and social challenges of the new millennium.” It adds outcomes would “inform a broad range of major issues facing humanity, s impact of climate change of biodiversity conservation of the endangered species, ecosystems, preservation, enhancement of ecosystem services.“Unimaginable biological secrets are held in genomes of the millions of known and unknown organisms on our planet. This ‘dark matter’ of biology can hold the key to unlocking potential for sustaining planetary ecosystems on we depend to provide life support systems for a burgeoning world population.”
