Throughout Hebrew Scriptures, Promise of the MESSIAH YESHUA is clearly given. These Messianic prophecies were made hundreds, sometimes thousands of years before Jesus Christ was born, and clearly Jesus Christ is THE ONLY PERSON who has ever walked on this earth to fulfill them. From Genesis to Malachi, over 300 specific prophecies detail the Coming of This Anointed One Messiah Yeshua.
In addition to Prophecies detailing His Virgin Birth, His Birth in Bethlehem, His Birth from the tribe of Judah and His lineage from King David, His sinless life, and His Atoning work for the sins of His people, the death and resurrection of the Jewish Messiah was well documented in the Hebrew prophetic Scriptures long before death and resurrection of Jesus Christ occurred in living history.
Of the best-known prophecy in Hebrew Scriptures concerning death of Messiah is Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53, certainly stand out. Psalm 22 especially is amazing since it predicted numerous separate elements about Lord Jesus’ crucifixion a thousand years before Jesus was crucified. These examples include Messiah will have His Hands and His Feet pierced in Psalm 22:16 and John 20:25. Messiah’s bones will not be broken as a person’s legs were usually broken after being crucified to speed up their death in Psalm 22:17 and John19:33. Men will cast lots for Messiah’s clothing in Psalm 22:18 as happened in Matthew 27:35 exactly the soldiers cast lists for Jesus garments. Isaiah 53 speaks of the “Suffering Servant”significant of the classic messianic prophecy as known.
The prophecy, details death of Messiah for the sins of His people. More than 700 years before Jesus was born, Isaiah also provides details of His life and death. The Messiah’s rejection in Isaiah 53:3 and Luke 13:34. Messiah will be killed as a vicarious sacrifice for the sins of His people clearly stated in Isaiah 53:5-9 and 2 Corinthians 5:21. Messiah will be silent in front of His accusers in Isaiah 53:7 as confirmed in Peter 2:23. Messiah will be buried with the rich predicted in Isaiah 53:9 fulfilled in Matthew 27:57-60.
Messiah will be with criminals in His death is also foretold in Isaiah 53:13 recorded by Mark 15:27. In addition to the death of the Jewish Messiah, His Resurrection from the dead also foretold. The clearest best known is resurrection prophecies by Israel’s King David in Psalm 16:10 written millennium before Birth of Jesus, “God WILL NOT abandon my SOUL to Sheol; Nor will God Allow HOLY ONE Jesus to undergo decay.
David prophecied LORD GOD ALMIGHTY Said to My Lord Yeshua Sit on MY RIGHT HAND till I MAKE your enemies your footstools in Psalm 110:1. This prophecy was repeated in Matthew 22:44 fulfilled Psalm of David. The LORD God Said to My Lord Jesus, “Sit in place of honour at MY RIGHT HAND till I WILL HUMBLE your enemies under your feet. The prophecy was qouted again by Peter who said same WORDS, The LORD Said unto My Lord Yeshua, Sit thou on my RIGHT HAND, till I make your enemies your footstool. And furing Jewish feast day of the Shavuot Weeks or Pentecost.
Peter preached the first gospel sermon boldly so Asserted God Raised Jesus the Jewish Messiah from the dead in Acts 2:24. He then explained God Performed This Miraculous Deed in Fulfillment of David’s prophecy in Psalm 16. Peter quoted these words of David in detail contained in Psalm 16:8-11. Some years later, Paul did the same thing when he spoke to Antioch Jewish community
Like Peter, Paul declared God Raised the Messiah Jesus from death in fulfillment of these Psalm 16:10 and Acts 13:33-35. It is seen in The Resurrection of MESSIAH YESHUA strongly from another Davidic Psalm 22 verses 19–21, of the Suffering Saviour. JESUS prayed for Deliverance “from the lion’s mouth” metaphor for satan. This desperate prayer followed immediately in verses 22–24 by a hymn of Praise and MESSIAH THANKS God for Hearing His prayer and Deliverance.
Resurrection of the Messiah is clearly read between the ending of the prayer in verse 21 and the beginning of the praise song in verse 22. Again in Isaiah 53: after prophesying The Suffering Servant of God would suffer for the sins of His people, the prophet says He would then be “cut off out of the land of the living.” But Isaiah states Messiah Will see His offspring” and that God the Father will “prolong His days” in Isaiah 53:5, 8, 10.
Isaiah proceeds to reaffirm promise of the resurrection in different words: “As a result of the anguish of His SOUL, He will SEE LIGHT and so be satisfied” in Isaiah 53:11. Every aspect of Birth, Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus THE MESSIAH was prophesied in Hebrew Scriptures long before the events ever unfolded in the timeline of human history. Jesus the MESSIAH Said to Jewish religious leaders of His day, “You search Scriptures, for in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me” in John 5:39.
In the Bible in Luke 4:16-22: Jesus Came to Nazareth, where He was brought up and, as His usual custom was He went into the synagogue on the sabbath day and so He Stood up to Read. 17There was delivered unto Him the book of prophet Isaiah. And when He OPENED the Book, He found the place where it was written, that 18 The Spirit of THE LORD GOD is upon Me, because GOD HAS ANOINTED Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; HE Sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, and 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 And He closed the book, and He gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all of them that were in synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And He began to SAY unto them, THIS DAY IS THIS Scripture FULFILLED in your ears. JESUS stood in Temple and CONFIRMED TO ALL LISTENING IN HIS PRESENCE AND HEARING JESUS, THE LORD GOD HAS ANOINTED JESUS TO BRING GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR, DELIVERANCE TO CAPTIVES, HEALING AND FREEDOM TO THOSE IN BONDAGE SO DECLARED THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF JUBILEE TO ALL PRESENT. JESUS MESSIAH SON OF LORD GOD ALMIGHTY YAHWEH FULFILLED THIS PROPHECIES AS THE ONE TRUE JESUS CHRIST. The rest of all remaining prophecies continue to be FULFILLED so ONGOING LIVING History today. Make sure you ACCEPT Jesus the MESSIAH as your personal Lord and Saviour in Jesus Name together as faithful God Family.
