DANIEL BELIEVED IN HIS GOD as verse 23 chapter 6 stands out poignantly said in professed testimony of Gentile king’s confidence in THE MOST HIGH GOD. In Daniel 6, It pleased Darius to set Daniel over the kingdom of 120 princes to rule over the whole kingdom. Of 3 presidents Daniel was the first so the princes might give account to them so the king should have no damage. Daniel was preferred above the 3 presidents and 120 princes because an EXCELLENT SPIRIT was in Daniel so the king set him over whole realm. Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but could find no occasion or any fault to use against Daniel. For Daniel was faithful and so no error or fault was found in him.
5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God. 6Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said to him King Darius live for ever.7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, princes, the counsellors and captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for 30 days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. 8 Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
9 So king Darius signed the writing and the decree. 10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, kneeled upon his knees 3 times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God as he did all the time. 11 Then the men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before God. 12 They came near anspoke to king Darius concerning the king’s decree; Have you not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within 30 days except from you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said the thing is true, according to the law of Medes and Persia which alters not. 13 They answered and said before the king, That Daniel, of the children of captivity of Judah regards not you O king or the decree you signed, but makes his petition 3 times daily. 14 The king, when he heard these words was sad displeased with himself and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him and tried till going down of the sun to deliver him. 15 These men assembled to the king and said to the king, Know, O king, the law of Medes and Persians is That no decree nor statute a king establish may be changed.
16The king commanded so they brought Daniel and cast him into a den of lions. The king spoke and said to Daniel Your God Whom you serve continually, HE WILL DELIVER you. 17And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel. 18 The king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting neither were instruments of any musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him. 19 The king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. 20 When he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spoke and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the Living God your God you serve continually able to deliver thee from the lions?21 Then said Daniel unto the king O king, live for ever. 22 My God Sent his angel, and shut the lions’ mouths so that they have not hurt me before GOD innocence was found in me; and also before thee, O king have I done no hurt. 23 The king was exceedingly glad for him so commanded that they should take Daniel out of the den. Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him because he BELIEVED IN HIS GOD. 24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den. 25 King Darius wrote to all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
26 I make a decree, in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear the God of Daniel: for HE is the Living GOD, and Steadfast for ever and HIS KINGDOM shall not be destroyed and HIS Dominion shall be forever so shall never end. 27 HE Delivers and Rescues, WORKS Signs and WONDERS in heaven and in earth, WHO delivered Daniel from power of the lions. 28 So Daniel prospered in reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian. So what a perfect passage with all Daniel’s prophecies going on lately in the world. Daniel devoted himself faithfully to pray and live righteous life PLEASING to God. Many people are today experiencing the hardships of this world Daniel foretold and was sealed in the endtime. Son of God Jesus was in the fire with Daniel so confounds the very people who thought they could fight God HIMSELF in Daniel.
Simply for doing the right thing for that reason God haters could not mind own business so looked for opportunity to discret him to win favour. Often many people daily face challenges for doing the right thing. Daniel encourages to focus more on God than trying to fight enemy to reason or to think logically. Daniel here overcomes adversity again and faithfully performs his duty loyally to the king and country despite the enemies within fighting him. Above all, Daniel lived Matthew 5:44-47, But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? If you greet only your brothers what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?
