God Commands in the Bible all people to honour father and mother. God made it a condition to show honour and respect in word and action by good healthy positive attitude towards parents. God’s Command is obeyed, even if the person disagrees with a parent’s decisions they still respect the position of honour as the head and the leaders of their family. Similarly, God Says children of all ages must honour their parents, regardless of whether parents deserve honour or not.God instructs all to honour father and mother by values that honour parents as included in the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:12. In the New Testament the children, are to obey parents in the Lord for this is right. Honour your father and mother as the first commandment with a promise so that it may be well with you and that you may live long on earth says Ephesians 6:1-3. King Solomon, the wisest man, urged children to respect their parents in Proverbs 1:8; 13:1; 30:17. Adult children may no longer be directly under parent’s authority, but one cannot outgrow God’s command to honour parents. God’s Son Jesus Christ, Submitted Himself to earthly parents in Luke 2:51 and to Heavenly Father God in Matthew 26:39. God requires honour for parents but does not include imitating ungodly habits from them in Ezekiel 20:18-19. If parent instructs child to do something clearly contradicting God’s commands, a child must obey God rather than such parents in Acts 5:29. Honour brings more honour so God Honours all those who obey HIS Command to honour their parents. If we desire to please God and be blessed, we honour our parents.Honouring is not easy, is not always fun, and certainly is not possible in our own strength. But honour is sure path to our purpose in life glorifying God. “Children, obey your parents in everything for this pleases LORD God Almighty, Colossians 3:20. Honour of parents and respect of elders is not a choice but strict command from God in Exodus 20:12 so it is well with you to live long in Christ. Schools and institutions must teach honour and to respect not belittle them to gain the child’s trust or affection. God Ordained right of parents entrusted as stewards of children so to be helped and encouraged to fulfill their call of duty to God. Not sabotaged and vilified by other system to created unnecessary hardship for family to divide and rule. God holds to account policy makers ignoring God’s Command to help children honour their parents. The world needs urgently to teach values of honour to respect father and mother and listen to their instructions. Chaos in the world is caused by the misconception that there is better alternatives to God’s Commands. Hence the word of God is sometimes considered too old fashioned. Yet Ancient of Days ALMIGHTY GOD’S Wisdom is never out of fashion. GOD’S Way is Trustworthy and reliable helping children Honour Godly Values. So brings more blessings upon their lives and their family gains God’s Grace and Favour for Pleasing and Obeying God as Jesus did. A special attention must be paid to train all children in ethical moral discipline to value and Honour adults and vice versa. It is essential to guide young naive ones without the brain cortex under umbrella protection of parents and adults to fear God and Honour parents. It pleases God when HIS Children Obey His Commands. People gain Eternal Blessings from their simple acts of calling on the telephone to check parents are alright and safe. If parents live nearby, visiting, supporting or taking them out occasionally, helping with shopping or household chores due to old age. This pleases God as children make parents feel valued so appreciated.Children taught to honour and respect parents are tolerant and respectful of authority and people in the community. A sound foundation lesson in early years to honour respect adults goes a long way to bring harmony unity in community. It is important to emphasise etiqutte, self respect and self honour to value self and family. The key to achieving tolerance in society among all people is teach human beings God made all in God’s Image so descendants from one parent Adam and Eve. Helping all in society to treat older people with dignity and decorum is win win situation to help young people to understand they will grow old too. The honour and respect meted out to their parents is same desired honour in old age so they must take initiative to show good example sowing good seeds to give back honour. Writing words on paper stating free fair treatment is completely different from the reality of the honour given practically to adult parents and elders in society. So necessary to restore value for adults to brings peace, spirit of unity and Agape Love. Highly honoured, regarded, respected adults reciprocates similar honour given back to all children taught to respect and honour adults in a healthy manner pleasing to God.
