When God finished creating the earth originally from the beginning at first, it was so perfect that God in Genesis 1:31 saw all that He Made, and said it was VERY GOOD. The all-powerful, omnipotent God, was then in total control of His Creation so everything turned out as perfectly as God planned, initially. God was very pleased and happy with mankind who submitted to God. God was so happy He regularly came down to visit Adam and Eve together with Jesus Christ and the angels in the garden of Eden. On Day 6 God, in the person of the Godhead as God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit in 1 John 5:7, the Bible says in verse 26: “And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness . . . . “ And in verse 27 we read: “So God created man in His Own Image, in the image of God created He created male and female.” Mankind is the only creation of God made in the “image of God.” After God created man, in verse 28: “And God blessed them, and said unto them, be fruitful and multiply. God provided everything necessary more abundantly including resources, treasures, gems. In Genesis 2:12, the gold of that land was pure and very good: there is bdellium and onyx stone, the sardius, topaz, and diamond, the beryl. God looked at all things He Made and He saw it was VERY VERY GOOD! And behold, it was very good. God entrusted mankind with the most perfect state of affairs, enriched with freedom to enjoy all freely. However, it did not last long because man became un-thankful, ungrateful like spoilt brats who did not toil for anything typically behaves. Mankind begun to take God for granted, by mankind’s right to entitlement, that made them become disrespectful to God. So did their own thing in the process by not listening to God anymore. Instead mankind chose to follow the devil who was God’s enemy who ruined mankind. Soon after, God in Genesis 6:5, God looked down on the earth and was grieved by what he saw. The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. God brought the great flood upon the earth and fire of Sodiom and Gomorrah hoping to change mankind because the wickedness of man was great. Every intent, desire, thought was bent toward evil. Man had audacity to reject God so opted for self-rule. God warned mankind and laid out dangerous conditions of self -rule with consequences clearly stated. God permitted man’s request to self – destruct as insisted on. Like a loving Father God watches with open arms for His Children to come to their senses like a prodigal son to return into His Loving Care. God sent Jesus and other prophets to persuade mankind to change in vain. Fast forward to 6 thousand years later and mankind does worse wickedness and godlessness, going to increase so many Christians are warned to be on guard to endure to the end to be saved. In 2 Thessalonians 2:9–11, Paul said the anti-Christ “man of lawlessness” with the activity of satan’s power and false signs and wonders and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. At some point, the “lawless one” will come, and he will come in power, with false signs and wonders. He will be so impressive, so powerful, many unbelievers will be deceived by him. The wickedness promoted and perpetuated by the lawless one on a colossal scale is overcome in Christ.Despite how worse things get, do not throw up your hands in despair. There’s good news. The good news is that, in spite of the wickedness which fills the world, the gospel of Jesus Christ will continue saving sinners! Yes, evil is powerful, but Jesus is More Powerful! Yes, satan prowls about like a roaring lion but Jesus Christ is the Great Lion of Judah and lion slayer. Jesus encouraged Peter the church will not be overcome and will even stand against hell itself. And I tell you, you are Peter and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it according to Matthew 16:18. Jesus is not particularly interested in the evil that killed Him. Jesus talked about lawlessness, but promised that the gospel would be proclaimed in ALL nations. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come as stated in Matthew 24:14. When lawlessness appears, Jesus already has taken take care of him. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming according to 2 Thessalonians 2:8. When Jesus returns, He will utterly decimate man of lawlessness because King Jesus has arrived! The gospel continues to triumph and Jesus will remain on the throne to finally rid the world of all evil and wickedness. Do not be concerned about increasing evil but stand up for God’s righteousness. Despite adversity encountered or persecutions, be constantly on guard encouraged fully trusting in JESUS our coming, conquering, reigning King WHOSE KINGDOM SHALL HAVE NO END IN JESUS NAME.
