In Revelations 21:3, The Holy City, New Jerusalem is the Chosen City of God coming down from heaven from God to earth in Jerusalem, Israel. “In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains to be exalted above the hills and all nations will stream to it in Isaiah 2:2. The City of God is Chosen by Jehovah God Adonai Elohim to Dwell Among His People on earth. Every king, queen, president, prime minister, secretary of state etc has official residences in the capital city of each nation, embassies located in other countries for diplomatic service, diplomatic immunity, country holiday homes decorated, maintained and paid for from national coffers. God’s Ambasssador is Christ Jesus and God’s Embassy Dwelling Place Will be established among the people He Chose for His Headquarters to dwell in on earth. The tabernacle of God is among men and He Will Dwell among them and they shall be His people. God dwelling with man is His great eternal plan to dwell among the children of Israel as their God. In Exodus 29:45, The abode of God is with men, and He will live encamped permanently among them. God will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God HImself will be their God. In Leviticus 26:12 God will walk among you; I will be your God, and you will be my people, for lo I come; and I will dwell in your midst. After the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and Victory in the one day battle of Armageddon in Israel. Then new city of Jerusalem will come down from heaven to Israel. God will visibly physically dwell among men with Christ Jesus Reigning over the whole earth. God’s City will be Holiest site on earth of God‘s Divine Presence manifested more than any other place. Sovereign God takes back control of earth as God Chose Israel since Seed of woman Eve promised in Genesis 3:15. God’s direct word of judgement to satan who deceived Eve wife of Adam, “mother of all living through her trust of him. The Messiah, Jesus Christ’s Virgin Birth, Death, Atonement and Resurrection restores mankind to God’s family eternally to end sin. In Luke-3:23-38, Jesus genealogy is traced to David to Adam. According to rabbinic documents produced in Talmud the world expanded in present form here God gathered dust used to create 1st human Adam son of God traced to Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Abraham. Since 1st century, Israel is associated in Judaism with location of Abraham’s binding of Isaac. The father of the Hebrew race Abraham was called by God from Iraq in Genesis 12:1-5. In c.1855 BC, Abram and his nephew Lot set out for Canaan, 400 miles / 640km, with their tents, flocks from goyim of Ur. God changed name in covenant to Abraham to be father of all nations blessed through covenant with God. Abraham left land of Ur with his wife, possessions, souls of his family in Genesis 12:5-6. Babylonian Talmud Sanh 99b says souls were Gentiles Abraham proselyte loyal to his faith settled in Canaan in 1855 BC.
The descendants of Abraham Ishmael lived in 2080 BC -1943 BC and Isaac lived in 2066 -1886 BC. Jacob renamed Israel by God lived 2005-2095 BC but fled to Haran in 2005-1859 BC. Joseph lived in Egypt 1914-1805 BC as an official in 1884 BC joined by Jacob and family in 1876 BC due to famine. The Jews multiplied rapidly in land of Goshen in Egypt suppressed as slaves and subdued. Upon crying to God Moses was sent by God to deliver them from bondage in Egypt in Exodus 1444 BC. The Pharaoh negotiations took place until the first passover took place in 1446 BC followed by the Exodus and wilderness wanderings. The Judges Othniel, Ehud, Shamgar, Deborah, Barak, Gideon, Tola, Jair, Jephthah, Ibzan, Elon, Abdon, Samson, Eli, Samson lived from 1350 BC. The sons of Jacob became the 12 tribe cities and towns in Canaan land flowing with milk and honey named changed to Israel since ancient days and remain so today. The nation lived in Israel under the judge and prophet Samuel in 1060-1020 until they decided they wanted kings like other nations. In Shechem modern-day Nablus the largest city in Samaria founded by Roman Emperor Titus in 72 AD. The city is located on the east-west through Central Highlands led to Jordan crossing at Adam (DamiaBridge). Shechem was important Canaanite religious centre and Abram (Abraham) built an altar to commemorate his meeting with God in Genesis 12:6 in 1855 BC.His grandson Jacob built an altar here and buried his wife Rachel’s household gods under the sacred oak tree in Genesis 35:1-4. Shechem continued to be an important religious centre after the conquest of Canaan under Joshua. Joshua addressed all the people at Shechem and urged them to be faithful to God in Joshua 24:1. He renewed the covenant with God and set up a large sacred stone at Shechem to act as a witness in Joshua 24:25-27. The southern section wall beginning 2nd millennium BCE around 1850 BCE by Canaanites who established settlement called Jebus. The Theocratic state under God now led by king Saul in 1051-1011 BC followed by David in 1011-971 BC.
Jewish tradition identifies Mount Moriah as the place of binding of Isaac. According to Hebrew Bible, Temple Mount was a threshing-floor owned by Araunah a Jebusite. The prophet Gad told King David it was a fitting place to build altar to YAHWEH because destroying angel stood there when God stopped a great plague in Jerusalem. David bought the property from Araunah for 50 pieces of silver to build altar. YAHWEH instructed David to build a sanctuary on site outside city walls on northern edge of the hill. The building replaced the Tabernacle so served as the Temple of the Israelites in Jerusalem. The Temple Mount is important part of Biblical archaeology. Due to many reasons foretold by God several states fought against Israel in 853 BC – 841 making them pay tributes for years. Hoshea fell to Assyrians so taken in first exile into Babylon 722-705 BC. In 722 BC, Assyria conquered northern kingdom of Israel carried into captivity. Northern kingdom was taken in 658-615 Nebuchadnezar ruled BC. 634 – 562 BC Assyrian king of Neo-Babylonian Empire from reigned c. 605 BC – 562 BC. Both construction of Hanging Gardens of Babylon and destruction of Jerusalem‘s temple are ascribed to him. He is featured in the Book of Daniel between 620-540 BC and mentioned in other books of Bible. Daniel, among those taken to Babylon in 620-540 BC prophesied birth of Jesus 600 years earlier. Daniel also told the king Nebuchadnezzar about God’s end-time Kingdom Reign through Jesus in the statue dream. Jeremiah’s 5 kings of Judah: Josiah, Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim, Jehoiachin and Zedekiah also pleaded with God for Judah during Jerusalem’s destruction by Babylonians in 586 B.C in Jeremiah 1:3; 52:7-11. In 538 Cyrus allows the Jews to return to Israel so temple rebuilt under Zerubbabel and Jeshua finished the temple in 520-510 BC. In the second fall, Esther and Jews under captivity in 478 BC. Ezra sent govern Judah till 457. Joel prophesied in 450 BC. Nehemiah governed Judah from 444-432 BC after second captivity in Babylon in 432-430 BC. The city was conquered by the Syrian Seleucids in 175 -163 BC desecrated temple in 175 -160 BC. The Maccabeus revolted so took control of temple in 160-143 BC and governed Judea in 104-103 BC celebrated Hanukkah.
The priests ministered in mobile Tabernacles in Hebrew: מִשְׁכַּן, mishkan, “residence” or “dwelling place” according to the Hebrew Bible, was the portable dwelling place for the Divine Presence from the time of the Exodus from Egypt through the conquering of the land of Canaan. Built to specifications revealed by God Yahweh to Moses at Mount Sinai, it accompanied the Israelites on their wanderings in the wilderness and their conquest of the Promised Land. The First Temple in Jerusalem superseded it as the dwelling-place of God. There is no mention of the Tabernacle in the Tanakh after the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple by the Babylonians in 587 BCE. Similarly, when the Bible recounts that King David purchased a threshing floor owned by Araunah the Jebusite, tradition locates it as being on this mount. An early Jewish text, the Genesis Rabba, states this site is one of 3 nations the world cannot taunt Israel and say was stolen, since it was purchased for its full price by David. According to the Bible, David wanted to construct a sanctuary there, but left to his son Solomon, who completed the task in c. 950 BCE with the construction of the First Temple. God will restore divided kingdoms of north and south since history from Nadab in 910…..to Joash in 835 -706 BC to Elijah in 870 -945 BC and Elisha in 845-800 BC. King Solomon in 971-931 BC built Solomon’s temple completed in 960, Jeroboam was king in 931 BC. According to the Bible, the place of 1st Jewish Temple stood at the Temple Mount. The identification of Solomon’s Temple with area of Temple Mount is widespread. According to Bible the site functions as centre of national life, governmental, judicial and religious centre. During 2nd Temple period it functioned as economic centre. According to Jewish tradition and scripture in 2 Chronicles 3:1-2, the first temple built by King Solomon son of King David in 957 BC destroyed by Babylonians 586 BCE.
Jewish connection and veneration to the site arguably stems from the fact that it contains the Foundation Stone which, according to the rabbis of the Talmud, was the spot from where the world was created and expanded into its current form. Since 4th millennium BC the hill inhabited by Jews called Mount Zion. It was the Holy of Holies of Temple, the Most Holy Place in Judaism. Jewish tradition names it as location for a number of important events in the Bible, including Binding of Isaac, Jacob‘s dream, and prayer of Isaac and Rebbekah. The second temple was constructed under the auspices of Zerubbabel in 516 BCE and destroyed by the Roman Empire in 70 CE. After destruction of Solomon’s Temple by Nebuchadnezzar II, construction of the Second Temple began under Cyrus in around 538 BCE, and completed 516 BCE. Evidence of a Hasmonean expansion of Temple Mount recovered by archaeologist Leen Ritmeyer. Afterwards the site remained underdeveloped for 6 centuries until Arab conquest. Archaeological evidence shows elaborate mosaic floor similar to the one in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem and multiple fragments of an elaborate marble Templon chancel screen prove Byzantine church or monastery or other public building stood on the Temple Mount in Byzantine times. In 610, the Sassanid Empire drove the Byzantine Empire out of the Middle East, giving the Jews control of Jerusalem for the first time in centuries. The Jews in Palestine were allowed to set up a vassal state under the Sassanid Empire called the Sassanid Jewish Commonwealth which lasted for five years. Jewish rabbis ordered the restart of animal sacrifice for the first time since the time of Second Temple and started to reconstruct the Jewish Temple. Shortly before the Byzantines took the area back 5 years later in 615. The Persians gave control to the Christian population who tore down the partially built Jewish Temple edifice and turned it into a garbage dump when the Rashidun Caliph Umar took the city in 637. The Arabs conquered the city from Byzantine Empire retaken it in 629. The Byzantine ban on the Jews was lifted and they were allowed to live inside city and visit places of worship. After Persian invasion in 614 many churches were razed. God warned Abram- Abraham in Genesis 15:13-14, know for sure your seed will be strangers in a land not theirs to serve and afflicted 400 years. The nation served will I judge and they will come out with great substance from Egypt. God reminded them of their redeemed Babylonian Gentile root from Iraq so sent them back to instil repentance in hearts. Babylon’s Nebuchadnezzar conquered the persecuted exiled Jews as predicted by God.
Jewish tradition maintains here the 3 and final Temple will be built. The location is the holiest site in Judaism and a place Jews turn towards during prayer. Due to its extreme sanctity, many Jews will not walk on the Mount itself, to avoid unintentionally entering the area where the Holy of Holies stood, since according to Rabbinical law, some aspect of the divine presence is still present at the site. It was from the Holy of Holies the High Priest communicated directly with God. Herod the Great extended Mount’s natural plateau by enclosing area with 4 massive retaining walls to fill the voids. This expansion of large flat expanse forms eastern section of Old City of Jerusalem. The northern wall of the Mount, with northern section of western wall, is hidden behind residential buildings. The southern section of western flank is revealed and contains Western Wall. The retaining walls on 2 sides descend many meters below ground level. A northern portion of western wall seen within Western Wall Tunnel, excavated through buildings adjacent to platform. On south eastern sides walls visible to full height. The platform is separated from the old City by the Tyropoeon Valley, deep valley hidden beneath deposits imperceptible in places. The Trumpeting Place inscription stone 2.43×1 m with Hebrew inscription לבית התקיעה להב “To the Trumpeting Place” excavated by Benjamin Mazar at the southern foot of the Temple Mount is believed to be a part of the Second Temple. The Mount’s early history’s synonymous events pertaining to Temple itself. Around 19 BC, Herod the Great expanded Mount and rebuilt temple. The ambitious project employed 10,000 workers doubled size of Temple Mount to 36 acres or 150,000 m2. Herod levelled area by cutting rock north west side raised slope ground to south. He constructed huge buttress walls and vaults to fill sections with earth rubble. A basilica of Royal Stoa was constructed on the southern end of expanded platform to provide focus for city’s commercial and legal transactions, and access to the city below via the Robinson’s Arch overpass. After exiled Jews return was restoration of the Temple, its courtyards, and porticoes, Herod built the Antonia Fortress, abutting the northwestern corner of the Temple Mount, and a rainwater reservoir, Birket Israel, in the northeast. As a result of the First Jewish-Roman War, the fortress was destroyed by Roman emperor Vespasian, in 70 CE, under command of his son and imperial heir, Titus. The city of Aelia Capitolina was built in 130 CE by Roman emperor Hadrian occupied by Roman colony on site of Jerusalem ruins from 1st Jewish Revolt in 70 CE. Aelia came from Hadrian’s nomen gentile, Aelius, so Capitolina new city dedicated to Jupiter Capitolinus, to whom a temple was built on site of former 2nd Jewish Temple Mount. Herod’s ruled after Pompey conquered Jerusalem in 63 BC – 19 BC.
Jesus was born in 6-7 AD in Jerusalem and raised in Nazareth. Jesus ministered, arose, ascended into heaven, disciples persecuted, Paul’s conversion missionary journeys, New Testament written in 49 AD martyrs. Romans destroyed Jewish Temple in Jerusalem in AD 66-73. Hadrian intended construction of the new city as a gift to the Jews, but since constructed a giant statue of himself in front of the Temple of Jupiter and the Temple of Jupiter had a huge statue of Jupiter inside of it, two enormous graven images on the Temple Mount. It was the normal practice of the adherents of the Hellenic religion to sacrifice pigs before their deities. In addition to this, Hadrian issued a decree prohibiting the practice of circumcision in the temple. These 3 factors – graven images, sacrifice of pigs on altar and prohibition of circumcision constituted for non-Hellenized Jews a new abomination of desolation, and thus Bar Kochba launched the Third Jewish Revolt. After the Third Jewish Revolt failed, all Jews were forbidden from entering the city or the surrounding territory around the city. From 1st through 7th centuries Christianity spread throughout the Roman Empire and Jerusalem became predominantly Christian. Emperor Constantine I decreed Christianity official religion of Roman Empire so Hadrian’s Temple to Jupiter on Temple Mount demolished immediately following First Council of Nicea in 325 AD on orders of Constantine. The Bordaeux Pilgrim visited Jerusalem in 333–334, during reign of Emperor Constantine I, wrote “There are 2 statues of Hadrian near pierced stone Jews come to every year to anoint. They mourn and rend their garments then depart during Tisha b’Av, Jerome on the day Jews permitted to enter Jerusalem during occupation of their promised land. Christian sources say Constantine’s nephew Emperor Julian granted permission in 363 AD for Jews to rebuild Temple. In a letter attributed to Julian to Jews “This you ought to do, when I successfully conclude war in Persia, I will rebuild by my own efforts the sacred city of Jerusalem, so many years you long to see inhabited to bring settlers there and, together with you to Glorify the Most High God therein. Julian saw Jewish God as the befitting God believed in though strong opponent of Christianity.
Church historians wrote Jews began to clear away structure rubble on Temple Mount thwarted, first by earthquake and miracles included fire springing from the earth though contemporary Jewish sources do not mention this. In 1217, Spanish Rabbi Judah al-Harizi found sight of other structures on mount profoundly disturbing. “What torment to see our holy courts converted into desolation sacrilege alien temple! he wrote. Though Israel is surrounded by a sea of enemies on all sides as Israel’s Defense Minister Moshe Ya’Alon, said like, “a ring of fire”God has called the Jerusalem His Home City to live in on earth. God Himself Fights for Israel to Win the spiritual battle for Israel’s survival. In 1867, a team from the Royal Engineers, led by Lieutenant Charles Warren financed by Palestine Exploration Fund (P.E.F.), discovered a series of underground tunnels near the Temple Mount. Warren secretly excavated some tunnels near the Temple Mount walls and was the 1st to document lower courses. Warren conducted some small scale excavations inside the Temple Mount, removing rubble that blocked passages leading from the Double Gate chamber. During the British Mandate period between 1922 and 1924, the Dome of the Rock was restored. Jordan undertook two renovations of the Dome of the Rock, replacing the leaking, wooden dome with aluminum dome in 1952, and carried out 2nd restoration between 1959 and 1964. The Israeli Arabs nor Israeli Jews could visit their holy places in Jordanian territories during this period. On 7th June 1967, during the 6 Day War, Israeli forces advanced beyond 1949 Armistice Agreement Line into West Bank territories, taking control of the Old City of Jerusalem of Temple Mount. The Chief Rabbi of Israeli Defense Forces Shlomo Goren led soldiers in religious celebrations on Temple Mount at Western Wall. The Israeli Chief Rabbinate declared religious holiday anniversary, “Yom Yerushalayim” Jerusalem Day, a national holiday to commemorate the reunification of Jerusalem. Many Jews saw capture of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount as a miraculous liberation of biblical-messianic victory. A few days after the war was over 200,000 Jews flocked to the Western Wall in 1st mass Jewish pilgrimage near Mount since destruction of Temple in 70 CE. John exiled in 95-96 Ad to Patmos island he wrote book of Revelations. Nero blamed and persecuted Christians in 64-68 AD.
Due to religious restrictions on entering the most sacred areas of the Temple Mount the Western Wall, a retaining wall for the Temple Mount and remnant of the Second Temple structure, is considered by some rabbinical authorities to be the holiest accessible site for Jews to pray at. Jewish texts predict the Mount will be the site of the Third Temple, which will be rebuilt with the coming of the Jewish Messiah. A number of Jewish groups advocate building Third Holy Temple without delay to bring to pass God’s “end-time prophetic plans for Israel and entire world. A 2013 Knesset committee hearing considered allowing Jews to pray at the site. In Temple times, entry to the Mount was limited by a complex set of purity laws so non- Jews prohibited from inner court of the Temple. A hewn stone measuring 60 x 90 cm. engraved Greek uncials discovered in 1871 near the court on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem stated that the prohibition in letters as follows: ΜΗΟΕΝΑΑΛΛΟΓΕΝΗΕΙΣΠΟ, ΡΕΥΕΣΟΑΙΕΝΤΟΣΤΟΥΠΕ, ΡΙΤΟΙΕΡΟΝΤΡΥΦΑΚΤΟΥΚΑΙ, ΠΕΡΙΒΟΛΟΥΟΣΔΑΝΛΗ, ΦΘΗΕΑΥΤΩΙΑΙΤΙΟΣΕΣ, ΤΑΙΔΙΑΤΟΕΞΑΚΟΛΟΥ, ΘΕΙΝΘΑΝΑΤΟΝ:- Translation: “Let no alien enter within the parapet and partition surrounding the Temple precincts. Anyone caught violating will be held accountable for his ensuing death.”A few hours after the Temple Mount came under Israeli control during the 6-Day War, a message from the Chief Rabbis of Israel, Isser Yehuda Unterman and Yitzhak Nissim was broadcast, warning Jews were not permitted to enter the site. This warning was reiterated by the Council of the Chief Rabbinate a few days later, which issued an explanation written by Rabbi Bezalel Jolti or Zolti “Since the sanctity of the site has never ended, it is forbidden to enter the Temple Mount until the Temple is built.” The signatures of more than 300 prominent rabbis were later obtained. A major critic of the decision of the Chief Rabbinate was Rabbi Shlomo Goren, the chief rabbi of the IDF. According to General Uzi Narkiss, who led the Israeli force conquered the Temple Mount, Goren proposed the Dome of the Rock be blown up. After Narkiss refused, Goren petitioned the government to close off the Mount to Jews and non-Jews alike. Later established office on Mount conducted a series of demonstrations on the Mount in support of the right of Jewish men to enter. Annual Oral Law Conference questioned access to the Mount to confirm ban on entry to Jews. The ruling said “We have been warned, since time immemorial for generations and generations, against entering entire area of Temple Mount so avoid doing so.
According to Ron Hassner, the ruling brilliantly solves government’s problem of avoiding ethnic conflict between Jews who most respected rabbinical authority likely to clash over the Mount. Rabbinical consensus in the post-1967 period in the Religious Zionist stream of Orthodox Judaism is forbidden Jews to enter any part of the Temple Mount. In January 2005 a declaration signed, confirmed the 1967 decision. Nearly all Haredi rabbis are of the opinion the Mount is off-limits to Jews and non-Jews alike based on the danger of entering the hallowed area of the Temple courtyard and impossibility of fulfilling the ritual requirement of cleansing oneself with the ashes of a red heifer. The boundaries of the areas are completely forbidden but large portions in common are delineated differently by various rabbinic authorities. A growing body of Modern Orthodox and national religious rabbis encourage visits to certain parts of the Mount, believed to permitted according to most medieval rabbinical authorities. These rabbis include: Shlomo Goren (former Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel); Chaim David Halevi (former Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv and Yaffo); Dov Lior (Rabbi of Kiryat Arba); Yosef Elboim; Yisrael Ariel; She’ar Yashuv Cohen (Chief Rabbi of Haifa); Yuval Sherlo(rosh yeshiva of the hesder yeshiva of Petah Tikva); Meir Kahane. Shlomo Goren, held it is possible Jews enter heart of the Dome of the Rock in time of war, according to Jewish Law of Conquest. So demand veneration of Jews ascending the Temple Mount, ablution in a mikveh prior to ascent to wear non-leather shoes. Some rabbinic authorities want Jews to ascend to halt ongoing destruction of Temple Mount. Maimonides, perhaps the greatest codifier of Jewish Law, wrote in Laws of the Chosen House chapter 7 Law 15, dead body in lower sanctified areas of Temple Mount allow ritually impure from dead to enter as dead body itself can enter.” A ritually impure direct or indirect contact of dead cannot walk in higher sanctified areas. Jews have no choice but follow peripheral route unofficially part of status quo on Mount. Many decisions rely on archaeological evidence. Then Prime Minister of Israel, Levi Eshkol, gave access of Temple Mount to Jerusalem Islamic Waqf for Israel and local Muslims. On October 8, 1990, Israeli forces patrolling site blocked worshippers from accessing it. Between 1992 and 1994 the Jordanian government gilded Dome of the Rock with 5000 gold plates restoring and reinforcing structure. The Salah Eddin minbar was restored in project paid for by King Hussein personally at cost of $8 million. Under terms of Israel–Jordan peace treaty Temple Mount remains for now under Jordanian custodianship. In Romans 11:25-26, the Bible says, I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited Israel experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in and in this way all Israel will be saved. There has always been a remnant of Jewish Believers in Yeshua as the Messiah, but not as many as the world will see when fullness of Gentiles comes in and Jews begin to soften their hearts toward Yeshua. This fullness occurred since Yeshua said,t “Jerusalem will be trampled on by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled in Luke 21:24. Some believe, the time of Gentiles was fulfilled in 1967, when Gentiles i.e Jordan was the last Gentile to control the area so no longer ruled eastern portion of Jerusalem, including Old City. Indeed, the move of God’s Ruach Holy Spirit began in 1967 when Jewish nation reacquired possession of the Temple Mount and Temple site.
In Christianity Jerusalem Mount has great significance in Christianity due to the role Herod’s Temple played in the life of Jesus. As a twelve-year-old boy, Jesus was found in the Temple where he confounded Jewish theologians with knowledge of Torah in Luke 2:41-5. During his ministry, Jesus challenged the corruption of those who used the Temple for commerce and extortion in Matthew 21:12-17 and prophesied the temple’s destruction, which came to pass in AD 70. in Mark 13:1-2. During the Byzantine era Jerusalem was primarily Christian pilgrims came by 10,000 to experience the places Jesus walked. Christian pilgrims were able to come and experience the Temple Mount area. The war between Seljuqs and Byzantine Empire and increasing Muslim violence against Christian pilgrims to Jerusalem instigated the Crusades. The Crusaders captured Jerusalem in 1099 and Dome of the Rock was given to the Augustinians, who turned it into a church. The Al-Aqsa Mosque became the royal palace of Baldwin I of Jerusalem in 1104. The Knights Templar who believed Dome of the Rock was the site of Solomon’s Temple, gave it the name “Templum Domini” and set up their headquarters adjacent to the Dome in the 12th century. Following Ottoman conquest of Palestine in 1516, the Ottoman authorities prohibited non-Muslims from setting foot on the Temple Mount until early 19th century, when non-Muslims were again permitted to visit the site. Jews may enter compound, but forbidden from praying or conducting religious rites there. God Will Do Everything possible to bless, encourage, defend Jews in Jesus Name people whether mankind approves or not. Jews, Muslims and grafted in Christians share common heritage in Abraham’s covenant with God. Jews and Christians believe the Temple will be reconstructed before or concurrent with Second Coming of Jesus in dispensationalism. Pilgrimage to Temple Mount is not seen essential to belief or worship. In New Testament story a Samaritan woman asked Jesus about the appropriate place to worship if Jerusalem or Samaritan holy place at Mount Gerizim. Jesus replied,”Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, salvation is from Jews. The hour is coming and now here when true worshippers will worship Father in spirit and in truth. Father God seeks people to worship spirit and truth in John 4:21-24. Jesus says worshipping God from the heart is more important than attachment to mountain ie high places or established places above God Himself. Jesus warns against emotional attachment to religious relics, symbols artefacts man places above God. The Bible is filled with promises God Made to His Chosen People that will never be rescinded or revoked. They are unconditional and eternal. Every true Christian who wants to be obedient to the Scripture must stand with Israel.
Jesus is telling Christian worshippers the Kingdom of God is within the human spirit made from God’s Spirit. So the inner heart and body as God’s Temple is more important and more precious to God than mere buildings of bricks and mortar as the temple of God. God wants to dwell inside each person to manifest His Love. So each person must see Christ the Son of the Living God in each other in direct connection to God. Each person matters to the Sovereign God Who Wants to be the Centre of attention in worship above all prophets and pastors, leaders and elders. Christ Jesus is the True Vine for the Christian believers as the branches. This is construed to mean Jesus places the Love of God in each human heart over hatred and killings dispensed over physical religious symbols and material physical locations of worship. God prefers individual or group worship in spirit and truth. And we rejoice in the New Covenant that the Prophet Jeremiah foresaw: “‘The days are coming,’ declares the LORD, ‘when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors in Jeremiah 31:31–32. The wall of division over territory between Jewish and Gentile Believers is not the will of God. When the New Jerusalem descends on earth God and Christ the King are Temples Lighting the City of God, so no human temples are required by God for worship. Yeshua explained to His Jewish disciples He is the Good Shepherd, but has other sheep not of this sheep pen to bring in. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd in John 10:16. Yeshua accepts non-Jews as part of the Kingdom of God. Early believers ministered globally in regions of Phoenicia, Cyprus, Antioch spreading the word among non-Jews in Acts 11:19. Faith in Judaism in Israel expanded in Yeshua the Messiah so saved Gentiles grafted converts among redeemed Jewish People. In Acts 10:10–16 Peter a Jew entered home of a saved Roman centurion Cornelius to share Good News so received Holy Spirit like Jews did. In Acts 11:20–25 Jews in Cyprus and Cyrene shared faith with Hellenists Jews who followed Greek lifestyle in Antioch came to faith in Yeshua. When Believers in Jerusalem learnt this they sent Barnabas to Antioch to confirm it. He was convinced of sincerity of their faith exhorting them “all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose in Acts 11:23. Barnabas went to Tarsus to get Paul to bring him back to Antioch where they continued to teach Believers for an 1 year.
The Bible tells us that it was here that the disciples were first called Christians, or in Hebrew Notzrim, which literally means followers of Yeshua the Nazarene or Yeshua HaNotzri. It is possible that the Hellenists mentioned in the Book of Acts were a mix of Jews and non-Jews. At any rate, many of the Jews had probably taken non-Jewish Hellenistic wives. This represented a trend of those who were essentially pagans being introduced to what had formally been a solely Jewish sect of the Jewish faith becoming One New Man. The Jewish Gospel is for pagans, Gentiles in Roman Empire. Paul’s letters and teachings,in Romans 3:29 states God is the God all people. Yeshua is the Jewish Messiah who brings salvation to Israel and light for Gentiles in Isaiah 42:6. Jewish Believers bring His message to the Jewish People first, and to the world. In the Book of Acts, Peter quotes the Hebrew Prophet Joel saying God’s Ruach HaKodesh Holy Spirit is poured out on all people so everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved in Acts 2:17–21. God’s word’s explain in Romans 11:11–31 Believing Gentiles, are branches grafted into the same tree now shared in nourishing sap from the olive root. Paul Romans not to boast natural branches were broken off in unbelief, but instead relish the kindness of God. When the broken branches come to faith, as Jewish Believers, they will be grafted back into their own tree and be nourished along with the Gentiles by the same root. God heart is intimacy for Jew and Gentile in spirit of unity and the love of God during the last 2,000 years. In Ephesians God desires to bring together in one all things in the Messiah Jesus in Ephesians 1:10. So this the time of unity within the body of Messiah “when the wall between Jew and Gentile is removed, the spiritual temple, God’s dwelling place, will be restored and this One New Man will release resurrection power to the church that Paul calls life from the dead in Romans 11:15. Jesus Himself is our peace, who has made both Jew and Gentile one and broken down the middle wall of separation to create in Himself one new man in Christ in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit in Ephesians 2:14–15, 22.
The outpouring of God’s Ruach in these end times means Jew and Gentile Christians must come together as One New Man. This new man was prophesied by Ruth, a Moabite, declared, “Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God in Ruth 1:16. This Gentile Moabite woman Ruth was grafted in to become grandmother of King David. Amos prophesied the unity of Jew and Gentile without walls in Amos 9:11–12. The Jews and Gentiles need healing mercies of God and forgiveness. Christians must ask God’s grace to rebuild walls of friendship by accepting God’s appointed times, season’s and all people must stop ill-treatment of Jewish people. God has mercy on the world especially Britain for expulsion in England in 1290 and Spain in 1492 in final attempts to annihilate Jews in the Crusades, inquisitions, and holocaust.
