The whole family regularly eating together topped the list of things that helped create a harmonious family life

The Bible commands believers to study the Bible daily to teach the word of God to pray together as a family. This reinforces training children in the family in a Godly manner. There are numerous verses on helping the family to run smoothly to be happy. Exodus 20:12 says ‘Honour your father and your mother’ so that you it will be well with you and may live long in the land the LORD your God has given you. In Ephesians 6:1-2, Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honour your father and mother for this is the first commandment with a promise. In Colossians 3:20 the Bible says, children obey your parents in everything for this pleases the Lord. Proverbs 1:8 says, embrace wisdom by listening my son to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. Again in Proverbs 6:20, my son, keep your father’s commands and do not forsake your mother’s impact. In Ephesians 6:4, Paul writes, “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord God Almighty. In Psalm 103:17-18, from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. In Philippians 2:3-4, do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of others. There is no perfect family no matter how Godly so walk in love. Enjoy creativity like baking, drawing, painting, music sewing, knitting, dancing, playing, watching Christian films together. Do some form of sport like tennis, basketball, football, have hobbies such as gardening, plants, play actings in the home.

But the study also revealed that modern families believed that having modern technology and gadgets such as a Netflix account, fast wi-fi and Sky TV were also key to harmonious home life. A new study has found that one of the keys to domestic bliss is having more than one tablet computer per household. Monthly trips to the cinema, a good coffee machine for mum and dad and at least three televisions were also deemed necessities for happiness. The research, commissioned by British manufacturer Origin, found highest rated tips for domestic bliss is eating together regularly, laughing a lot and keeping home tidy. Families are not perfect so make most of what God gives you. Do not compare your family to others and remember your family always comes first. Despite importance of eating together proving the most popular source for a happy family. Old fashioned bonding such as hugs and eating together were among the top 5 ways to keep a happy home.
