Jesus is our Passover Lamb Who Made Ultimate Sacrifice to save all mankind. Jesus took bread, thanked God, broke bread and gave it to the disciples saying, ‘This is My body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.’ And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, ‘This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.’ In Luke 22:19-20. Jesus shared feast of Passover with His disciples saying, With desire I desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer for I say to you, I will not any more eat this until fulfills the kingdom of God in Luke 22:15. As the Lamb of God, Jesus fulfilled meaning of Passover giving His body to be broken and His blood to be shed in sacrifice, freeing us from sin and death. During Passover, Jesus established the Lord’s Supper, or Communion, instructing His followers to continually remember His sacrifice by sharing in the elements of bread and wine. The Passion week begun with triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem to fulfil prophecy of Zechariah 9:9 to set Christ aside as Passover Lamb of God during passover celebrations. Jesus ate the Passover with His disciples, before His passion, saying that He had eagerly desired to eat this Passover with them. And that He would not eat it again until the Kingdom of GOD comes in Luke 22:7-16. After Passover meal, sang hymn went to Mount Olives in Matthew 26:30. This passover ceremony was then called the Lord’s Last Supper in remembrance of His Sacrifice as the Perfect Passover Lamb. This fulfils new covenant between GOD and man in Luke22:20; 1 Corinthians 5:7; Ephesians 2:11-13. The prophecy of this sacrifice is also found in Psalm 22. The Hebrew prophet Isaiah spoke about the suffering and sacrifice of the Messiah. Jesus’ Sacrifice is Ultimate Atonement for the sins of GOD’s people in Isaiah 53. As revealed in Exodus 12:5, the Passover lamb is perfect male without spot or blemish. So Jesus said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and you, sealed by the shedding of my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.” For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again in 1 Corinthians 11:24-26. The cup of the LORD’s Supper is the third cup of the Passover Seder is the cup of redemption. Even in the midst of grief and adversity Jesus reaches out to wash the feet of His disciples. It is traditionally believed God will send Elijah the prophet who never died but went up to heaven alive in a chariot. For this reason, a place is set at every Passover Seder ritual meal for Eliyahu Hanavi, Elijah the Prophet in the hope he will arrive to signal imminent coming of Jesus. “Behold, I send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord,” in Malachi 4:5. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. My flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I in him. The Living Father God sent me so I live because of God.
Whosoever feeds on Jesus’ Body symbol of bread and drinks wine representing Jesus’ Blood will live so have eternal life. In Luke 22:19-20, Jesus took bread, given thanks, broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation in Hebrews 1:14. Hebrews 1:14 tells us malakhim are “ministering spirits” sent to minister to the heirs of salvation.”The messages that angels send on behalf of God are two-fold. Not only do they reveal His plans for their lives, they also serve to minister in times of dire distress. Angels are involved in God’s warfare sent for our protection. They war with the angels of darkness who try to prevent angels from performing their service to us. We ray directly to the Father God Who sends. Angels sent by God for protection and angelic intervention. Angels do nothing on their own accord but listen for God’s Word so can dispatch angels based on this knowledge, using the Word of God to commission them. Greater spiritual service achieves great heights performed to God requires a person serves God not angels. “So do not forget to show love hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it in Hebrews 13:2. God’s angelic messengers are active in our midst, taking an interest in the affairs of men as they carry out God’s will. May each one of us be equally committed and active, as well, in carrying out His will. “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven in Matthew 6:10.
