The Christian Apostle disciples are influenced by Christ so much people noticed His impact on their behaviour and actions. Soon people who watched and observed their lives and testimony started calling them Christians. The cloud of witnesses noticed a dramatic change in these Christian believers. So the name label title Christian first started at Antioch in Pisidia in Book of Acts of the Apostles 11:25,26 in the Bible in the city of modern Syria. The disciples gave up their day job as fishermen to follow Christ full time fishers of men. They joined Christ Who gave up carpentry profession to fulfil His Destiny, Mission as Saviour of the world. All who serve God may not give up day jobs as Paul was a Tent maker, evangelist, missionary and accomplished author.
Christians were noticed for good reasons for excellent reputation practising faith in obedience to GOD ALMIGHTY. So the Christian disciples were busy doing the works of God as Christ commanded them to do in Matthew 28:17-20. In verse 17 And when they saw Christ Jesus they worshipped him but some doubted. 18 Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go therefore and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost20 Teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you to do and I am with you always to the end of the world. Amen. The Christian disciples accomplished great and wonderful works done in Jesus Name to the Glory of God.
Despite God’s work done by the disciples some doubted and were offended so started contemplating how to stop the works of God. Therefore God had no choice but to warn warned all who blasphemed the work of the Holy Spirit in Christ. The more Christians were persecuted and scattered all over the world, so it became a God sent opportunity to spread Gospel. What the devil meant for evil God turned into good for His Own Glory in Jesus. A religious extremist like Saul attacked GOD’S command of the work of the Holy Spirit. Saul threatened, persecuted, huffed, puffed at Christians. Saul went to extreme lengths to harass and intimidate Christians believers for minding GOD’s Business. Saul was a Pharisee before his conversion and responsible for persecution in 33 A.D. Saul enjoyed the pain and suffering he promoted and caused to GOD ALMIGHTY’S Children doing HIS WORK.
As Christians believers suffered untold hardships, Saul felt empowered to attack even more until one day, Christ confronted Saul on the way to Damascus to persecute believers again. As Saul persecuted and endorsed laws to persecute Christians he encountered the risen Messiah Christ in Acts 9:3, 4-5. Suddenly the heavens opened up and there shines round about Saul a light from heaven, 4 Saul fell to the ground and heard Christ voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” 5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Christ said said to Paul, Arise, and go to the street called Straight and inquire in the house of Judas. So Saul of Tarsus was led to Damascus in Syria. Saul prayed and in Acts 9:12, Saul saw in his vision a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him so he might receive his sight. At the same time Christ visited Ananias and asked him to prepare to pray for Saul’s healing and restoration of his sight.
In verse 13, Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many people how this man did so much evil to GOD’S saints at Jerusalem. 14 He had authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on GOD’s NAME. In verse Acts 9:15, Christ said to Ananias, Go thy way for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. 16 For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake. In verse 17 Ananias went his way, and entered the house and put his hands on Saul said, Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus Who appeared to you on your way to Damascus in Syria sent me, that you will receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. 18 Immediately fell from his eyes scales so he received sight and arose and was baptised. 19 When he received meat he was strengthened and Saul spent many days with the disciples at Damascus. 20 Straight away he preached Christ in the synagogues.
Paul underwent drastic change so became blind for 3 days. He was saved, healed, delivered in this street called Straight in Damascus Syria. Christ forgave Saul, sent him to be healed and changed into a born again Christian believer. Saul the traitor became GOD’s Chosen Vessel so Christ changed Saul’s name to Paul. In Acts 22:7, Paul remembered and testified in his testimony about his chance encounter with Christ Jesus. He shared with people how he used to terrorise people until he fell on the ground and heard Christ voice saying, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? Christ confirmed and proved to Paul, He is the Son of God. After salvation, Saul wrote many books in the Bible so became one of the greatest saints who served GOD faithfully. Christian Believers are affected by those who build them up with encouragement.
Saul’s spiritual blindness was removed so he realised he was sincerely wrong about his views on GOD’s Son Christ Jesus. He was saved, healed, delivered in street called Straight.Saul hated the Holy Spirit’s working through Christians doing GOD’S Work empowered by Christ. So Saul who once blasphemed and rejected Christ and Christians was now filled, transformed and changed into Paul. It is important to seek GOD’S Face in times like these for Christ to become more instrumental in Answering Christians Saul encountered on the way to Damascus. GOD’S Direct intervention is urgently needed at all times like GOD did through Moses to deliver His People. GODLY Encounter through Christ Jesus’ miracle helps build people’s faith in critical times.
On the one hand, Christian believers minding GOD’S Business encounter miracles of Christ’s direct intervention from heaven. At other times it seems to take so long to stop those harassing them like Paul did and became saved in the process to the Glory of God. A Christian’s life extends beyond this life into infinity in heaven with Christ forever. This means actions taken in this life against Christians is dealt with by GOD ALMIGHTY and His Son CHRIST JESUS. No matter how long it takes Christians have justice from GOD’S ADVOCATE Christ Jesus. So hold onto dedicated faith strongly in GOD. These observations and biblical stand strengthens Godly opinion to help form a sound biblical world view. Christians face all sorts of adversities yet reassured of Christ reconnecting believers to God. Christ the revolutionary is directly watching and will return to restore Christians.
