FREEDOM IN CHRIST

Freedom is assumed to mean liberty to feel free to do as one pleases without restraint or constraint. This mindset has seeped into Christianity so people feel God can be served according to how they feel, think, like or prefer. In real life if there are no rules to guide or direct us there will be chaos. It is simply not a good idea to lean onto own understanding to do own thing. A mind clouded by obsession passion does not think straight. Clearly one’s judgement becomes flawed by focusing on intended object or action. This is why God sends the Holy Spirit to help Christian believers.

In addition, it is imposible for people to think life can have good success without God. Superficially, although they seem outwardly OK, but beneath is confusion and turmoil. God knows human life is truly meaningless without Christ or sound Biblical foundation. True Christian lifestyle sweetness is in eating of faith pudding. Unless one tastes and sees God is good, one cannot ever fully understand or really comprehend God. Permissive will is granted by those who did not create protype humans, or own them as Patented Rightful Maker. Not around to help families deal with rebellious consequences of permissive will freedom presumably granted.

Right now there are freedoms that seem the right favour is done to endorse some particular actions. Although contradicts God’s law seem like approval given, so alright to act as law permits. However, most choosing freedom based on freedom of choice do not really understand what God said in the first place. So Ezekiel 3:33 and 33:3 says to help people understand God’s position on all matters. One has to fully obey God’s commandments as one cannot have pick and mix Christianity.

It is interesting those most in need of freedom in Christ naively refuse wisdom so reject knowledge of God. Yet willing to believe and trust more in man – made gurus, self-proclaimed secular expert authorities, psychologies to own hurt and destruction. They seem to make consistent attempt to try in vain to debunk God using secular freedom of human ideas and expression. God does not allow recklessness in the name freedom.

Think about it for a minute. How do most people in the world interpret word  “freedom?” Isn’t it described by most as ability to do what they want, when they want, and with whomever they want? We see for many, this “freedom” translates into chasing after some very dangerous and risky things. They aren’t looking for the wholesome “good, clean” kind of fun. Sadly, they want to “cut loose,” drinking to excess, and mixing with a raucous crowd.

This may be definition of freedom to some but when we consider the consequences of these actions, it really isn’t freedom at all. In fact, choosing to live in this manner actually leads to slavery binding up in chain of sinful nature! In Galatians 5: 13-14, 19-23, Apostle Paul speaks of another kind of freedom, one which offers us the reward of a higher value than anything else in or of this world. Hear what he says to Christians in Galatia, and to all of us as well here:-

“You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather serve one another in love. The entire law for God’s people is summed up in a single command: Love God with your whole body, mind and soul and ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ ”

In Galatians 5:19-23, Apostle Paul implied:- Freedom to indulge selfishly, misleads others for lust, so the flesh is gratified at the expense of others. One tells sweet nothings, promise the moon, lead on until fed up, dumps, moves on to hurt others. Real True Love thinks through the impact, of emotional trauma, deep hurt injury caused to other Children of God. Freedom means one is set free indeed from bondage of sin in Jesus Name. To live for God, serve God, win souls, show compassion to all.Courtesy: True Light on Freedom
