Jesus taught the disciples and Christian believers to pray, Hallowed be God’s Name to remember to Sanctify God’s Holy Name on earth. God’s Holiness is celebrated during All Hallows Eve – Holy Evening to honour Christian saints. So started in Christianity to remember saints in Church. It was an international day for serious Christians to ponder martyred saints who sacrificed life to help save souls. It included all who passed also celebrated to love, honour, reverence God for Christ blood sacrifice and of the saints. International Hallowed Day was an evening to be kept pure and Holy for God! It was to prove how Christ conquered death and martyred saints overcame death by emerging alive in heaven. Hallowed day was used to mock and ridicule death to thank and Glorify God for the gift of eternal life through Christ who redeemed sinners from death.
Soon the word Hallowed became adulterated into “Halloween” meaning “hallowed evening” or “holy evening”. It comes from a Scottish term for ‘All Hallows’ Evening as a contraction of “All Hallows Evening. Also known as Allhalloween or All Hallows’ Eve and All Saints’ Eve,as a yearly celebration. It was observed on 31st October, in many countries it was a Holy Church event on the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows Day. It initiated the triduum of Allhallowtide in the time of the liturgical year dedicated to remembering like memorial day those who passed into heaven, including the saints called hallows, martyrs and all the faithful departed believers. Within Allhallowtide, the traditional focus of All Hallows’ Eve revolves around the theme of using “sense of humour and ridicule to confront the power of death. It was intended as a form of liturgical worship to diffuse tension of fear of death and take away sting from painful loss of loved ones after death.Yet has opposite effect of celebrating a holiday that honours ghouls, demons, ghosts, and dangerous evil. Those in love and passionate about death they permanently dress to identify their master to show whom they worship daily.
Halloween is another grand occasion for nominal believers to serve their master. Although considered fun and merely implying window dressing, compare image, outlook, appearance represented by Halloween. Jesus conquered death and took away the keys from satan so gave us life through redemption of the cross. So do not need to celebrate Halloween to scare death already a defeated foe. Every Christian believer has eternal life.
Take a good look at a lollipop guide who stops traffic as uniform garment symbolises power and authority behind them. So according to many academic scholars, All Hallows’ Eve is was a feast initially influenced by Celtic Harvest festivals. Other academic scholars maintain it originated independently of Samhain solely with as All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day but thought to embody strong pre-Christian beliefs and Christian roots. Halloween is presented as a harmless fun to young children never enthusiastically taught to promote Christian faith in God with similar passion and zeal.
The overall holiday spending, said Nikoleta Panteva, a senior analyst with market researcher IBISWorld involves many businesses making huge profits. Shop sell millions of Halloween goodies in various shops which turn out items for sale on display. Once Halloween merchandise hits the shelves, the society goes into auto drive preoccupied with festivities. Like Christianity and Christmas was influenced possible by Constantinople’s intra-faith pagan roots, particularly so did the Gaelic Samhain change Hallowed Day into pagan devil worship.
To restore God’s Glory and Honour Position as Sovereign Lord. To prepare Christian leaflets to educate and bring awareness about the true and genuine hallowed day. To organise events, gifts, and witness to win more souls for God. To remember to pray for those tortured, martyred for Christ. So cry, sigh, lament and call upon God to have mercy to forgive insolence of mankind against God. It is an opportunity to repent for the cruelty and wickedness against God by people so continue to share the true reasons for hallowed day.
God says those He Loves He corrects so does not want them to perish. So encourage proper honour and celebration of hallow more than they currently are. The Bible says avoid the appearance of evil so anything that looks like evil even in the name of fun is not worthy of the time and presence of a true child of the Living God. Jesus said the devil has nothing in Him. So Christians must not celebrate devil worship which parades as harmless fun. It desensitized people especially children against dark horrors of witchcraft. Bonfire was originally part of bone fires of martyred Christians.People gatherings condoned and jeered persecuted believers in lions dens and fires live in front of crowds. Not realising cry judgement blood of persecuted becomes evil generational curses. Such blurred lines destroy clear boundary between what God approves and what mankind does. Halloween is seen as yet another party time to have fun and let the hair down. How many Christians take time out to prepare alternative Holy events to share with family, church, instead of following Halloween. Once again October time brings this whole debate about whether Christians should be getting in costumes glorifying death.
The world rebels against God by rejecting Him as Sovereign Lord by abandoning God for the devil in the garden of Eden in Genesis 3:1-7 to do own thing. The Bible says resist the devil and he will flee from you in James 4:7. Mankind with audacity renounced God as King Ruler to Reign over them to appoint own ruler. So in 1 Samuel 8:7, God said to prophet Samuel it is not you they rejected but me Jehovah Zebaoth they rejected as their King. God’s people since the fall have been seriously affected by ability to relate to one another and to live in peace with one another. So celebrate Anti-Christ festivals promoted and endorsed by unbelievers to deride God and Christ’s resurrection power.
Most importantly, the fall has seriously affected our ability to relate to God and to live at peace with Him. The main theme of the Bible concerns the restoration of our relationship to God and the redemption of man from his sinful state, climaxing at the cross of Christ, which made the way for us to return to God. Just as man chose to rebel against God in his sin, so man can also choose to return to God by accepting the sacrifice of Christ to pay the price for his sin. Thus, Christ’s sacrifice, in a sense, undoes the event of the fall and brings man back to God. So let God’s Kingdom come and His will be done on earth! This is what the story of the Bible is indeed, and the history of mankind is all about. Believers cannot continue to bend over backwards to accommodate evil in church. The world is to follow the Christian church example in holiness to be saved. No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both as Matthew 6:24-25 and Luke 16:13.as one is loved but other is hated. One cannot truly belong to God and the devil at the same time. Prepare good programs to celebrate God’s Hallowed day to help people become excited about learning, growing in faith and friendship with God. Christian teachers be saints in leading children to God through gospel to believe and accept Christ Jesus if possible. It is good and beautiful to feed children soul food early to adore and hallow God to receive Jesus’ salvation. Children need Christ into their hearts to be saved and go to heaven. No child is too young to give their life to Christ to follow teaching of the cross of Jesus for eternal life. So read Christian story books to them since birth, taken them to church their entire young life. Talk to them about Jesus. Sing songs about God, watch Christian stories on television and read bibles in the house. To reinforce the message of Jesus other revered significant adults in their life.
As testified above in this picture the same message in a different voice makes all the difference.Since giving his life to Christ the child received a the boldness of the Holy Spirit to witness to others. He talks to people about Jesus on air planes, in the grocery store, on the ball field and even led a little boy to Christ during his sister’s dance recital. He continues to pray for the salvation of those he witnesses not receptive to the message at the time. The parents stated, we never know the words we say impact another person. There are times we are placed in the path of others for purpose of speaking into their life.
